This derg belongs to Kibawolff! :) Being leveled from 20 to 25! Having a twin wasn't like everyone said it was. Some days, it seemed like all her and Pollux had in common was hatching from the same egg! Even as tiny hatchlings, Castor and Pollux got into everything, but could never agree what to do once they were into everything! While exploring, Castor would insist the treasure was this way, while Pollux /knew/ it was that way! No matter where they went, they always found treasure to bring back to there parents-- cool rocks, cool bugs, cool dangerous looking animals, cool anything! One day, the tiny Skydancers even managed to go unnoticed as they landed on top of Bistromathic's head. Castor and Pollux giggled as they sat between the large Imperial's horns, adding random things in the meal Dad was preparing for the clan! But it was their bickering over what to add to the stew next that got them caught. But it was when they were out exploring one day and they went too far from their lair. It was a day neither of them would forget, the day they got separated from their clan. As usual, Castor had convinced her reluctant brother to stay out a few moments longer, insisting there was something cool nearby. Finally satisfied and thinking there was no more treasure to be found, Castor grabbed the small runestone, they had (for once) agreed to give to dad, and dashed for home with Pollux on her heels. But, they never made it back to their home in Hewn City. Despite her good navigation skills in previous explorations, Castor made a wrong turn somewhere. When night finally set in is when the two tiny Skydancers began to panic. Huddled together without their parents' warm embrace was a first for the twins. Neither slept well that night. From there, Castor tried to led them back home, then Pollux tried. They shared what little bugs and water they found. No matter what came in there way, Castor pushed through. One day, they stumbled upon a land unlike their homeland-- it was dark, with blue glowing mushrooms everywhere. Amazed with the strange land, Castor pranced around, while Pollux curiously poked at the unnatural things. Suddenly the earth shook below them, and Castor went running to her brother's side as they looked up at a huge dragon. "W-We didn't mean to trespass!" Castor quickly squeaked out, "We're just lost and trying to find our home!" This earned a light chuckle from the gigantic dragon. "Fear not, little ones." The Guardian dragon said softly. "I've come to see how two tiny Light hatchling ended up in Shadow territory." From there the hatchlings explained what had happened, Castor even showing the dragon named Keirstrider the runestone she had intended to give her father. Keirstrider, having pity on the two twin Skydancers, offered them shelter with his clan, telling them they could stay as long as they wanted. As time went on, the clan slowly became Castor's home, though she was rarely seen there during the day. Never fitting any of the clans jobs, Castor did her own thing. Mostly, she flew through the dark forest she had come to call home. But some days, she would fly high above the forest, to the edge of the Lightweaver's domain. She would fly there for a few moments, the runestone in her claw before turning and making her way back home. It was at the edge of the domain Castor had found a strange creature, warm to the touch. She brought it back home with her, as it had seemed to be left on its own. She brought it to Pollux, who knew exactly was it was. "That's a Loga!" He exclaimed. "It's exactly like the familiar Da used to have!" "Well then," Castor smirked. "We will name him Bristromathic." |
