Yearning 		The moment he laid eyes on a dark golden dragon just finishing clearing out her lair, she became his whole world, and he knew he had to be a part of hers. The closer he got the faster his heart began to race, until he thought the organ would leave his chest. He knew a dragon like himself was easily overlooked, so a large gesture was in order to snare her attention. He did the first thing that came to mind, he showed her he would be at home in her lair. He felt the moment he had her attention. As they spoke he blessed the great Shadowbinder that she was not adverse in the way of the fae, for his fin movements would have long since given away his new found feelings. He told her he liked the look of the place (namely her) and made sure she knew in no uncertain terms he was staying. A rare genuine smile curved her mouth and he thought his heart would stop. It might have when she proposed marriage. As she spoke of increasing numbers and strengthening the clan, he quickly realized to her this would be a marriage of convenience. That stung, but not enough to make him reject the proposal. It became apparent it wouldn't be trinkets or endearments needed to win her favor, but an unwavering loyalty to her clan. If that is what it took, then that's what she would get.
