Biography

Affection for Reflection
Reflect Soylent Yellow Green June Beetle
Gemwings is a compassionate and caring dragon. She has a motherly air about her, and most dragons find her comforting and easy to approach. She does carry a bit of extra weight on her, but no amount of exercise seems to make those last few pounds budge (and she just can't seem to quit those chocolate covered beetles). Her mate, Thornstone, tells her there is just more to love.

Family is of the utmost importance to Gemwings and she is very close with her sisters, especially Steelflight. She enjoys battling in the coliseum with her siblings, and has proven to be a dedicated mage specializing in reflection spells. Shadow spells are the most difficult for her and she is still working on perfecting her shroud.

Mate: Thornstone

Battle Party: Steelflight, Indigotiger (formerly)
Jadehuntress, Daybreak (currently)

The scent of black tulips saturated the air and she got a bad feeling in her gut. True, black tulips could be considered a comfort food for the herbivores, but when they were crushed and mixed with the proper ingredients they could make a borderline toxic batch of dradonbrew. The scent of sulfur stung her snout and she knew some dragon in the lair was about to take a drastic step in forgetting their woes. She hastened her flight through the maze of tangled wood. She just hoped she could help whoever the heartsick dragon was because one shot of dragonbrew she knew from the resident human was comparable to a human blacking out from alcohol.

As the scent grew stronger she felt her world begin to tilt before her body hit something solid and unforgiving. With almost bleary vision, she realized she had begun to fly at an angle and had flown right into a tall aspen. Her fins flattened against her skull in agitation. The brew was large enough that the fumes were starting to have an adverse effect on her. Opening a pouch she carried on her body, she pulled out a small vial that seemed to glow blue with it's own inner light under the dark canopy of moon trees. It had been created using the black tulips' less potent cousin, the blue tulip, and she drank it down. She silently thanked Wintermeadow as she continued her flight.

The smell was now so thick it was accompanied by a purple smoke that made her eyes burn. When she found the dragon she was going to whip them with her tail and then comfort the poor fellow creature. She could barely decipher an outline bending over a hole that had been dug in the ground in substitute of a pot. Her fins flared in recognition and the softest of sounds escaped her. He heard the sound anyway. Shifting in her direction, he stared her down. As she gazed into the brown eyes of her mate he shook his head and his spines seemed to undulate over his body.

"It wasn't me, I came to investigate when I saw the mist." He inhaled deeply, "Whoever they are, they know what they're doing." She couldn't agree more. But if it wasn't her mate, the only other physically present dragon, who had make the brew?
