Biography

The Shadow Enchantress

Faedancer has been blessed with a strong affinity for the shadows. Aptly named, when she moves the shadows respond in kind and the two partake in an intricate dance that would mesmerize any audience. Her enchantments are so powerful they have been known to leave onlookers entranced for weeks after completion. With this gift, Faedancer felt it was her destiny to serve the Shadowbinder. She took the sacred vows and trained for the exalt, proud to be accepted into the Shadowbinder's inner court. But then everything changed.

Her long term crush was sitting on his first nest, and it looked like his mating was on the rocks. There were whispers that the pair would break up, and Faedancer couldn't move. She couldn't help wondering if maybe, just maybe she had a chance. With that, she broke her vows and stayed in the lair. No one expected Indigotiger to fight so hard for his mate and their family. Faedancer keenly remembers the day she went to his nest. What she saw there has stayed with her ever since. The distraught skydancer was cooing words of love and encouragement to his mate with their one egg tucked securely between them. When he turned to look at her, his gaze left her ensnared. In his glowing pink eyes, beneath the glaze of exhaustion, was hope and desperation burning so brightly it incinerated her's.

There was no future with Indie, and the Shadowbinder wouldn't have her after the disrespect of reneging on her vows. In an ironic twist of fate, it seems the Shadowbinder herself stuck it to Faedancer and blessed Indie's mating, as his son is like shadow incarnate. He couldn't be closer to the shadows if he were Faedancer's own son.

When political tensions began to rise, the lair needed to reinforce their alliance with the Ice Clan. In order to ease the strain and solidify their pact, Faedancer volunteered to partake in an arranged marriage with the ice lair's second prince, Lynx.

Meeting his cold, icy gaze she saw her chance at redemption, and she seized it.
