xx bio
xx "To be served as leader is as to serving the people I lead."
xx When mortal dragons were first beginning to flourish and spread across the land, Taji lived with his older brother, Rijn, to whom he looked up to like no other. Rijn had a temper and a mean streak, denying other dragons who sought to share their company, safety, or food, but Taji was often able to settle and placate him. Together, the two survived the harshness of the new world, though not everyone was so lucky. A local settlement was quickly growing under the eye of a smart, but greedy, lord. The lord claimed the best for himself and left the scraps for everyone else. Eventually, the lord’s greedy reach spread beyond what the valley could provide, and Rijn devised a plan to overthrow the lord. With a ragtag group of starving villagers, Taji followed his brother to the lord’s keep, and seized power from the greedy lord. Amidst the celebrations, Rijn declared that he would take the lord’s place instead of sharing the riches as had been agreed upon. Taji was torn, but not even his love for his brother could keep him from seeing the truth that Rijn would be just as bad as the lord, if not worse. When Rijn set upon a villager that dared protest, Taji lunged at his brother.
xx When the fervor of battle cleared, Rijn lay dead, slain by his own heartbroken brother. Taji had been dealt a mortal blow, though, and lay dying even as the villagers tried to tend him. Begging them to not let the broken system remain, a blinding warmth suddenly filled the entire valley, centered upon Taji. When he opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of the Magnificent Heavens, and by week’s end there wasn’t a dragon who hadn’t heard how a mortal had ascended to godhood. Taji’s deeds quickly became legend, and when other mortals began to ascend as well, they looked to him for guidance. The Old Gods who didn’t reject these changes and vanish did their best to acclimate the heavens to the new age, and Taji helped form the Council of the Highest Gods to help keep order. When it was decided that a singular ruler was needed to guide the heavens down future paths, Taji was nominated and given the title of Emperor God. Unicorn Dust
xx For the second time, Taji ascended in position and had to quickly adjust to the change. With the heavens depending on him, that didn’t leave much time to settle in, but the best experience is that which is gained on the job, and Taji quickly grew more confident. All his life he had followed Rijn’s lead, but now that he was out of his brother’s shadow he proved to be a natural leader, and the heavens flourished under his guidance. New gods ascended and their influences spread far and wide, believers flocking to their shrines like fish to water. Taji’s worshipers grew exponentially as well, and with them his powers grew. With the Emperor God on the throne, the heavens began its gilded age, though there are whispered rumors that the recent scandal of Icarus’casting out and the subsequent Great Rescinding ordered by Taji, where no gods are permitted to leave the heavens, the age may be coming to an end.

» Despite everything, not a day goes by where Taji doesn’t miss his brother.
» Taji is a softspoken dragon, but when he is angered, the entire heavens shake with his rage.
