Biography
Luster
In such a technology-heavy place like Electrician’s Edge, one might hear the name of the role of “Timekeeper” and question it. Clocks are the norm; every dragon has and knows how to use one. So why is the role of “Timekeeper” required?
Well, Luster isn’t that sort of timekeeper. Luster works in the Hall of Records, alongside other dragons like Yecord and Nightgleam, and she keeps the time of the records that they hold and process. Divantae is pretty good about putting times and dates on his scrolls, but Luster has to read through these records and ensure the time and date was written accurately, and to double-check that the event or quote in question truly took place at that time. She also frequently checks on the stored records to ensure that they are still stored in chronological order. You could say Luster is more of a historian than a true timekeeper, but whatever you would call her position, she makes sure to carry out her duties to the letter.
Luster is very meticulous about punctuality, and is constantly scolding her coworkers for their tardiness — even though they’re older than her and were only a few seconds off of schedule. Having schedules on hand makes Luster’s job easier, so when a dragon is off-schedule, it serves as a great inconvenience to her. Luster takes any dragon’s lateness as a direct insult, and is not afraid to let anybody know that.
In her spare time, Luster likes reading through the old records or flipping hourglasses to watch the sand fall. And between reading the old records and sorting the new ones, Luster has gained as solid of a grasp on the clan’s history as any professional historian. Luster believes strongly in learning from the past, and that history repeats itself — which has given her an uncanny ability to guess how future events will unfold. And by Luster’s estimate, the future isn’t looking too bright for Cadfael and his party.
