Glenys brushed against its glossy glass-like surface with a gentle paw, her eyes twinkling with joy as the life within wriggled at her touch. The glowing shape did a slow somersault, and Glenys grinned. "Oh, my child... I promise I'll love you forever," she cooed, lifting it closer and resting her muzzle across the shell. "My beautiful child..." She kissed it and the egg bobbled slightly in her grasp. Dawn came, and Glenys awoke to discover something amazing. Lying snug between her paws, emitting a soft reassuring light, there was an egg. A light egg. She rejoiced at the sight--it was a miracle! Ost, her husband, was baffled at its appearance and tried to formulate an idea of where such a priceless object could have come from. In the end he was at a loss; all he could do was stare at it in disbelief and scratch his head. Glenys did not care very much of the egg's origins. It was here. Her dreams had finally come true. Later, Glenys' younger brother Clae came to visit her at the nursery. He brought her a strange trinket he had found during a journey through the forests. She gazed at it, thanked him, and slid it around her neck. Several days passed. One evening, much to everyone's astonishment, Glenys had three nature eggs of her own. With a joyous heart and a thankful attitude, she nestled her light egg among the nature ones and waited eagerly for them to hatch... —Written by Onkeip
