  • Something seems to come over Maple every now and then that leaves him zoned out and speechless. These episodes can last anywhere from five minutes to an hour and come on without warning. He also has trouble talking and can not form sentences in the same way as other drakes.
  • He is very gentle and loving.
  • He is happily married to the lovely Syrup. The couple love each other very much and are incredibly close.
  • Ock is a good friend of Maple's. They enjoy hanging out together and a lot of Maple's hatchlings call Ock their uncle.

Black tears would trickle from them constantly and make it look as if they were bleeding, and this frightened the drakes who gazed into them too long. It was like staring into an abyss of shadows, catching glimpses of disturbing sorrows. Those eyes held visions that inflicted fear and pain.

........Maple was a sad hatchling, and he always felt lost. He tried so hard to understand things, but others would avoid him. He never knew why. Maple seemed like an empty shell to others. He wept at all times no matter how he felt, and he never smiled.

........Parents would keep their children away from him.

........One day, he left the town he grew up in and never returned. In his seclusion, he began to experience strange dreams and visions of futures. Some pertained to him, but many were of drakes he never knew. In one of these visions, he caught a glimpse of a beautiful female drake, smiling and reaching toward him with outstretched arms. He still was not sure who the strange, lovely drake was, but somehow she became all he could think about. Distressed, he decided that he must find her.
