Physical Attributes
Sometimes inner power manifests itself physically in descendants. Maple predicted that certain Dark Oaks who bear specific traits have access to special abilities.
Pureblood
Imperial
or
Coatl
Unlike other breeds in their family who must train to progress their magical talent,
imperials and
coatls are born with naturally strong magic. Some Purebloods may be so powerful that they do not even require much discipline to harness their abilities.
Fortune-Touched
Bright Eyes
Those with
bright eyes are surrounded by an aura of fortune, meaning that luck seemingly follows them wherever they may travel. Whether it be accidentally avoiding harm, uncovering some lost treasure, or bumping into a new best friend, you can be certain that these Fortune-Touched Dark Oaks are quite often the luckiest members of their family.
Father's Wisdom
Dark Sclera Eyes
Dark Oaks that are blessed with Father's Wisdom have
dark sclera eyes and are thought to be the closest to their patriarch. They wield all the abilities that he does. These descendants see visions of the possible futures as well as the most likely destiny for themselves, can share their visions with others at will, can commune telepathically with others, and can influence the minds of different dragons. Just like Maple, looking into their eyes may reveal secrets.
Mother's Compassion
Innocent Eyes
Descendants with Mother's Compassion have heightened emotional awareness and can discern easily how others are feeling. Many use this talent to become incredibly empathetic and kind, while others abuse their knowledge in order to manipulate dragons. Because their
innocent eyes look so sweet and pure, dragons have a tendency to trust them more easily.
Oracle
Multi-Gaze Eyes
The Dark Oak Oracle has an impressive set of
multi-gaze eyes. These dragons have stronger senses than other members of their family and can look into the future at will if they focus their inner power. However, the visions they witness hold all possibilities, meaning they often do not know which will occur.
Blindness
Pastel Eyes
Despite the physical Blindness those with
pastel eyes experience, they have extremely accurate visions and often see the future shortly before it occurs. Besides being able to gaze into the future, these Dark Oaks are able to detect secrets around them, whether it be a lost object or a liar.
Animus Overflow
Primal Eyes
Sometimes the magic of a Dark Oak spills out in the form of
primal eyes. Those experiencing an Animus Overflow have a deep magical potential and can harness several different abilities in addition to any strengthened ones they already might have. With practice, they may learn how to telekinetically move objects, create illusions, or speak telepathically with others.
Madness
Swirl Eyes
Dragons with
swirl eyes often spiral into a crazed state due to the side effects of their visions. Unlike other descendants who gaze into the future and see them as if spectating, those afflicted with Madness experience their dark visions on a personal level. They tend to have vivid nightmares and are plagued with horrifying destinies that may occur, and they feel as if they are inside these visions. When the hallucinations hit, they become frantic and lost.
Ancestor's Scales

Descendants brandishing Ancestor's Scales have an impressive

Wave Whisperer
Cyan Tide Primary
Wave Whisperers are deeply attuned to water magic, and they are marked with a
cyan tide pattern rippling across their scales. These descendants have the power to read auras from water, enabling them to learn any knowledge that the waves have witnessed. Because water is found almost everywhere, they are typically the most informed members of their family, and they may learn of news that would otherwise take several weeks to hear.
Kitewing
Sanddollar Trail/Noxtide Secondary
The Dark Oak Kitewings have enormous
sanddollar-colored wings with either a
trail or
noxtide pattern sweeping across them. Because of their large wings and light weight, they are incredible fliers and are rather impressive when drifting upon the breeze. Sky-Marked
Sky Flair Secondary
or
Midnight Constellation Secondary
The Sky-Marked Dark Oaks are dragons with either
sky flair or
midnight constellation for secondaries. Their wings look as if the atmosphere itself was spread across them. Magma Wings
Sunset Sludge Secondary
Some Dark Oaks have a softly glowing pair of Magma Wings and are designated by a
sunset sludge pattern. These descendants may take on the form of molten lava itself, physically morphing their bodies into the burning substance. While in their lava forms, they can bend and move to look like almost anything, and they can squeeze through spaces that would otherwise be impossible to enter. As expected, such a power is extremely dangerous and may create a hazard if one is not well trained for using this ability.
Obsidian Plating
Obsidian Scales Tertiary
Dark Oaks that have developed an imposing Obsidian Plating upon their bodies, which come in the form of
obsidian scales, tend to have more stocky builds in comparison to other family members and have a natural resistance to physical injury. Besides being tough, they also have the amazing ability to grow incredibly thick black scales across their body like an armor, and they can shed this coat off later when desired.
Prismheart
Rose Sparkle Tertiary
Dark Oaks with a Prismheart have a pale shimmer across their scales that takes the form of a
rose sparkle. They have the ability to warp space with their magic, making it possible to create portals of varying sizes. These portals gleam with a vivid magenta light and last several hours before inevitably collapsing and disintegrating into a sparkling powder.
Boulderhide
Slate Gembond Tertiary
Some descendants have an impressive Boulderhide that takes its form as
slate gembond. These dragons have an armored body and a high pain tolerance. They also tend to be incredibly strong in comparison to other Dark Oaks, and they can feel vibrations through the ground, enabling them to know the locations of anything that moves.
Lavabelly
Fire Capsule Tertiary
Occasionally a Dark Oak may be marked with a warm
fire capsule Lavabelly. These descendants have a high body temperature and are incredibly tolerant of heat that would normally bother others, and they can blow fire from their mouths. Some even have the power to spit lava remarkable distances. Although their inside is specifically developed to handle fire and lava, they are not naturally immune to flames on the outside.
Frosted
Ice Flecks Tertiary
Frosted Dark Oaks with
ice flecks have a frigid temperature and shed off a tiny blue powdery substance that is extremely cold. These dragons are completely immune to freezing temperatures and are able to expel an icy breath that crystallizes when it hits something. They can also grow a frosty armor across their bodies for protection.
Apostle
Grapefruit Runes Tertiary
Dark Oak Apostles, who are each marked with a unique set of
grapefruit runes, hold a deep wisdom within their hearts. They retain knowledge more easily and have an impressive memory, and many can cast glowing runes on objects that have different effects. If translated correctly, the emblems on their bodies are said to grant one understanding of the secrets of the universe.
Enhanced
Cyan Circuit Tertiary
Enhanced Dark Oaks have a vivid
cyan circuit pattern displayed across their bodies. These descendants tend to have more static than the average dragon, and they can safely channel electrical currents through their bodies. By harnessing their inner magic, they can generate electricity through their circuit markings, and this charge will shock anything that touches the pattern. Along with these powers, these dragons have the curious ability to cast little beacon lights that create a blue glow.
Glade Blessing
Shamrock Opal Tertiary
Those with a leafy
shamrock opal pattern wield the Glade Blessing. These Dark Oaks have the ability to understand and commune with animals, and they can influence the growth of plants. Dragons with
blood okapi are said to have the Warrior's Mark. These descendants are known for their natural battle skills, which includes heightened strength and endurance as well as quick reaction time. Gothic Tracings
Shadow Filigree Tertiary
Descendants with Gothic Tracings, which come in the form of a deep shimmering
shadow filigree, are difficult to find when they want to remain hidden. Their most prominent talent is the ability to physically morph into shadows, though they are also well-known for their power to create dark, foggy auras that make lights extremely dim. They thrive in the darkness and have impressive night vision. These dragons can sense fear, and many are able to influence the emotions of others in order to evoke a sense of uneasyness.
Fortune Hunter
Caribbean Glimmer Tertiary
Fortune Hunters are aptly named, for each descendant with a
caribbean glimmer across their bellies have a special organ in their nose that detects treasure or water. However, one can seldom tell whether they will sniff out loot or water, and this often leads to frustration when a search is commenced for something specific. Aside from this unique sense, these dragons can breathe underwater and can make their glittering bellies glow brightly whenever they desire. Some can also bend water if their inner magic is strong enough, and they can change what form it is in.
Spirited
Peridot Smoke Tertiary
Spirited Dark Oaks have a delicate
peridot smoke pattern tracing across their bodies. These dragons have the ability to shift their forms into pale transparent phantoms, which can fade to the point of nearly becoming invisible. In addition to this power, they can also levitate at will and do not require wings to fly, and some have learned to bend wind currents or create their own.
