1000 Hatchling Challenge!!
We've changed it to 1000 hatchlings now and we may or may not regret our decision in the future... Anyways, we're going to update the threads when we can. In the mean time, though, here's a banner we threw together!
So, as the title suggests, we have decided to start a 500 hatchling challenge in celebration of our 1 year anniversary on FR. For those wondering why we didn't host a raffle of some kind, well, we don't really have funds to do that or any sort of
real prizes to give out. So, instead, we decided to do something really absurd that probably almost no one has ever done before (we tried searching and couldn't find anything)! Honestly, we don't know if this is even possible. Can a pair of dragons
really have 500 hatchlings? Well, they can have 200, so we're about to find out if they can have 500! This is going to take a long,
long time. Here are the rules (that we made. No way are we following the typical 100+ hatchling rules when we're trying to do 500 hatchlings) and some pretty important info:
Rules and info, make sure to read all we wrote:
1. Our pair is hard set, meaning we are not accepting any outside dragons. Our pair also produces G2 babies! You may be wondering why we chose to do this since unbred G1s are much more valuable. Well, this is just to make the challenge a little more unique! That, and the pair makes really nice babies.
2. We ask that you do NOT exalt the hatchlings right away! Please at least breed them once before you get rid of them!
3. Just like any typical 100 hatchling challenge, most, if not all of the hatchlings MUST find new, permanent homes! Although, we may keep a couple just to guarantee at least a couple live on down the line.
4. You may be wondering why you have to pay for the dragons, and to that we say, how else are we supposed to gene our pair and get room? In the beginning, the pair will be an all basic pair, but as time goes on, we should hopefully be able to afford genes for the pair!
5. We will be breeding the pair as often as possible, but we may sometimes try to get special date hatches (such as holidays, our birthday, our FR anniversary since this will probably take more than a year to do)!
6. We will be making a lineage thread for this pair in the dragon share forum, where all G2 hatchlings will be registered, and you can register any G3+ hatchlings there as well!
7. And finally, the big question you're probably asking right now: why? Because why not? Seemed like a fun idea to test our patience and see just how long it takes to get 500 hatchlings! We might be the first to do this, or one of the few to try, but we're going for it.

Subarashi and Scald decide to start right away. The sooner this gets done, the better in their opinion. Their first nest yields a whopping 4 eggs!

Also, as a side note, we will be doing our best to make some graphics for this thread to make it look nicer. Also, these eggs take a bit longer than 5 days to hatch due to lair space, but we'll do our best to open up more slots before then!
