IMRIEL RESIDENT SPOTIFY • YOUTUBE Imriel led a fairly normal life for someone of his lineage before he and his sister were captured. They were trained by their Aunt Kali, but both of them were still horribly inexperienced when it happened. For a while, all Imriel could do was dream those awful days away, even while awake. What kept him sane were his sister and his best friend Zenthra. And when Zenthra disappeared one night and it was announced that he and Star would be participating in a battle royale type "game", his spirit almost shattered. Sobs could be heard from multiple people the night before they were to be sent to fight. Imriel fell into a restless, dreamless sleep even though Star snuck out of her cot to cuddle him. Neither of them knew it would be the last time they'd share a bed like that. The next morning, Imriel was in a trance. His mind was on autopilot, and he was apathetic to the fact that both he and his sister could die brutally. He didn't care anymore. Imriel survived for six days during the experiment through sheer luck, but something, or someone, rather, snapped him back to reality. A person that Imriel thought he recognised but couldn't remember the name of crossed his path and stopped him. "Your sister is murdering people without remorse." was all it took. "What?" Imriel said with a bewildered look on his face. "She's killed at least two people now." Imriel fell to his knees and started gasping for air in shock as the events of the past week finally hit him. "I'll spare you for now. Better watch out though," they said as they turned to walk away. ~~~~~ Imriel wandered for a bit until he came upon an abandoned bloodstained bag. Inside he found a piece of bread, a water bottle, and... a knife. Why, Star, why? In a daze, he took the knife to his throat and... ~~~~~ When Imriel came to, he thought he was in some sort of storage closet. His entire body ached, but what stung was his neck. He tried to speak, but his voice was nothing more than a breathy, unintelligible whisper. |
