Having been separated from her father as a child, Achillee (Achillée) was taken to a mage circle and considered orphan-abandoned.

There she remained until she was a young adult and was allowed to enlist in the king's army to escape the circle. Taking on the alias yarrow to further sever her connections to the circle.

Wary of strangers and dubious on sharing the extent of her magical prowess, she made few friends during her time at the circle, but remained fiercely loyal to the ones she did make once she left.

she echos the sentiment of her father,
and the light of her mother.

Growing up, Achillee (Achillée) was unaware of her mother's legacy, her father having decided to shelter her from the truth. He believed that the less she knew of Allison, the safer she would be. He told her that her mother loved her dearly but she had a important duty that she could not abandon, that there were people that they needed her mother more.

It was a small consolation, but he would tell her bedtime stories based on her mother. With some baring the truth to them, and others having their ending rewritten to have a happier outcome. He would spin tales of grand adventures, heroic deeds and evil monsters slain.

She was just a child that loved and trusted her father implicitly; she never questioned why they moved around constantly, or why he was wary of leaving her alone for too long in the care of others.

Trouble came when her magic manifested for the first time; accidentally triggered by bandit attack on their caravan. The extent of the violent outburst had sent the bandits fleeing in terror, and her father had, unbeknownst to her, had fallen into a time distortion caused by her wayward magic. It was her deep heartfelt longing to keep her father safe that caused it; he couldn't be hurt if the bandits couldn't touch him.

She had been found, wandering aimlessly crying out for her father by a hunter who upon discovering her awakened magical ability had taken her straight the mage circle. Wanting to wash their hands of her and the trouble she would no doubt bring because magic ruined everything it touched.

----

"I'll take you somewhere safe-- don't worry." Achillée could only nod and sniffle as she wiped away her tears with the sleeve of her coat. Having lost the will to talk, she reached out to latch onto the hunter's hand who could not hide his flinch when she touched him.

This went unnoticed by Achillée as she only held on tighter the longer the hunter let her, afraid to lose another person, even if it was a stranger. She didn't want to be alone again, she was hungry and tired of being lost. She just wanted her father to come back.

"The circle mages will know what to do with you."

Achillee was hard at work studying the ancient magic of the circle. Straining her mind in an attempt to comprehend the ancient text provided by their First Enchanter as she finally threw her hands up in the air.

"It's no use!" she snarled to herself before groaning in disappointment. When was she ever going to master this Conjuration, this summoning of blades from a different realm? Her Harrowing was drawing near and she could already sense the demons gathering around her, waiting to feast on her very soul.

"By the Maker... mom... dad... what should I do?" she sighed in disappointment, her head drooping as a feeling of dread washed over her.

Suddenly the parchment before her began to twinkle, vaguely at first to where she believed it was an hallucination, then intensely as the image of a million star filled galaxies washed over her vison. There in front of her, was a letter, neatly folded with a written name and no return address. The sparkles and galaxies faded as a seemingly normal letter rested in front of her.

In her state of confusion she didn't stop to comprehend how the letter had gotten within the tower, even if it were through magic how come nobody found out? Why didn't the Templars stop it? Did anybody other than her know about this? What would the First Enchanter think? But most importantly, was this letter really from her mom?

She carefully reached out and opened the envelope which contained spiritual guidance for her to follow.

To my sweetest daughter,
I know you probably don't want to hear from me after so many years, especially with the absence I've had in your life. But I want you to know that I've watched over you for all of these years. I could never reveal myself out of fear that... what I'm fighting would find you... and if it did it would never let you go. But that's besides the point, I'm certainly not trying to worry you.

I'm just here to tell you that I'll always be here by your side, whether you know it or not I'm looking out for you and I've seen what you can do. Don't fear your Harrowing, don't fear the demons, fear will only give them strength. They cannot harm you unless you surrender to them, unless you give up hope. So keep fighting, you can make it through this, I believe in you.

Fight for me, if not for me then fight for your father, he's still safe and rooting for you. Just like I'm rooting for you here and now. We believe in you sweetheart, and while we technically aren't supposed to tell you this information due to the Harrowing's rules, we both know you already have everything you're going to need.

Survive your Harrowing and follow your chosen path in life, one day it will lead you home to both of your parents. We will always love you.

From your loving mother and father.

P.S. Go ahead and show this letter to First Enchanter Irving, trust me, we go way back so he'll get a kick out of it. Then after composing himself he'll likely scold me out loud... Oh well, good luck sweetie! Just remember that your parents are here and looking out for you, always. Just remember to fight with a Spirit of Valor and everything will be just fine.
Just present him with the Sovereigns and say the following; 'Your friend of the past knows you well. We've battled side by side to free the circle, we've clashed with hoards of demons to fight the tide and we've shared the secrets we both have found. Teach my daughter to wield her spiritual blades, teach her to fight as we have before... and show her the mercy you once showed me. May your guidance serve my daughter well and may your lessons help her to excel'

He'll know exactly what you mean.

Achillee's noticed a lump in the envelope and upon investigation discovered 7,000 Sovereigns within, her jaw dropped at the sheer amount snuck in to her and she quickly scrambled to think about what she should do. Hopefully Irving wouldn't accuse her of duplicating fake money! Before her thoughts could lead themselves into a worse case scenario she received another letter from her mother. Explaining to her that the money was to help her daughter receive efficient and proper one on one training from the First Enchanter.
