Biography

Quote:
Uh-oh, looks like this determined dragon wandered a little too far from their home lair (jelllitan, 487789), and now they're off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, you may either return them to their home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread here, the travelling dragon rest hub here.

Absi's Journal

Entry 0001
There were three of us- me, my brother Corinna, & my sister Windweaver. When we awoke from our slumber, our sister, Windweaver, was gone. Me and my sister found out she was in some sort of contest to get 25 likes. Now, me and Corinna are chasing her footsteps. While we may not make it back, and the odds are against us, we both want to be reunited with our sister again. Wish us luck!

Entry 0002
The first place we visited was the Tangled Woods! During our time there, we ran into a clan that lived in an underground cavern filled with a lake. While I enjoyed our time there, my brother never quite warmed up to the lack of stars and sun. And so we didn't stay long once it became clear that our sister had never visited them.

Entry 0003

We found our stay with the Harmony Syndicate to be fairly uneventful. Again, they hadn't seen our dear sister, but they at least let us stay with them to rest up for as long as we wished. They were even kind enough to teach us both a little about self defense to keep us safe while on the road!
Gained Lvl 5!

Entry 0004

Still no sign of our sister, unfortunately, but I have some important updates nonetheless!

This time Corinna and I landed in a Light Clan's territory in an area known as the Emperor's Wake. Raenice, the Clan's patroldragon, took us to meet the Clan's representative. The Tundra was a fine enough dragon, of course, but she was a bit... pushy about us coming here to stay and fight for a battle that isn't even related to us at all. I had to explain that no, we were not going to suddenly drop our lives, much less for something assigned by another deity. Sunshine dropped it after that, which Corinna seemed pretty relieved by.

I was pretty surprised when Corinna suggested that we split up for the time being, especially since he seemed to hate this place as much as he hated the caverns that we visited while in the Tangled Woods. He had a valid point that I was a bit behind on likes, though, and that it'll make traveling easier for the both of us. He mentioned something about helping out Raenice, which I can definitely see working better for him than fussing around underground.

Hopefully the three of us can all reunite sooner rather than later!

Entry 0005
I returned to the Tangled Woods once again - more specifically, I visited the Foxfire Bramble this time. However, I got attacked soon after entering... when I rescued by this really pretty Coatl! She and her friends took me back to the Kingdom, where I was placed in the care of a nice Bogsneak named Wisp. While I was there, Borealis (the pretty Coatl) visited me a lot... and so we talked, and eventually Wisp agreed to lay a clutch with me for Borealis and I. When they finally hatched (which I was asleep for, and which Borealis was out sick... on me, but whatever), I was blessed with three beautiful children: Hikaru, Eira, and Zaulen. I stayed with them as I made sure Borealis rested up, but then felt like I had to keep moving. I had to keep looking for my sister, after all! When I left, though, Borealis gave me this really pretty cape to travel with so I'd never forget her. As if I could.

Entry 006

I found myself in a village near a beautiful shoreland. It was calm here but a lot of the people here seemed to prefer keeping with dragons they knew rather than speaking with me... I don't mind that, however!

Their leader speaks with me every now and again while I'm here, she had an uncaring tone to her voice but despite this, she's respectful to me...

Entry 007
My travels led me to a rather friendly encampment- Ash Haven, they called it- where many dragons passed through in their own travels between the harsh deserts of Fire and Lightning territory. My cape had grown much too warm long before my arrival, and I had become content with carrying it until I reached cooler territory. It was nice to finally stretch my wings and cool down!

I'll admit, I was initially overrun by the number of dragons roosting in this bustling encampment, but eventually stumbled my way through to a quiet group of fae who'd made their homes near one of the beautiful lakes which supported life here. There was more vegetation near the water, and a welcome bit of shade, all of which the fae nurtured and protected, making their nests as unobtrusive as possible. It was here in this miniature community that I met Lightheart- a rather self-important fae- sunning her pale-gold wings atop a large boulder.

As I fumbled and clattered with my personal items in the shade, she huffed and fluttered down to a branch just above my head, and curtly introduced herself, "I am Lightheart, the spokes-drake of all things heavenly and light-" she fluttered her wings with a shimmery shake, then put her hands on her hips, "-and to whom do I owe the pleasure of so rudely awakening my beauty rest?"
I was shocked, but couldn't help but laugh, "Ahah! Quite heavenly indeed!" After a brief chuckle, I finally managed to get myself in order, fluffing my feathers for an introduction, "My name's Absi, and I'm on a quest to-"

"A quest, you say!" With a shout, Lightheart was swiftly shoved from the branch she was on, quickly replaced by a deep-green fae whose frills were extended to their fullest, clearly quite excited, "What kind of quest? Perhaps I can help!" The two were complete opposites, and yet, my response seemed to pique their interest equally. The two quietly looked at each other for a moment, frills twitching in silent communication, before Lightheart inquired, "So you're looking for your sibling and attempting to win some sort of popularity contest?" I nodded, "If you're able to help me check the area, see if she's been here, and maybe get some more signatures for my contest, I'll be out of your frills in no time!"

Although it was not quite as grand a quest as Velocity and Lightheart had hoped it would be, they both seemed quite excited to help me on my mission, each taking turns to lead the hunt and follow clues across the encampment. All the while, Lightheart taught me some of her "signature moves" to acting elegant, prim, and proper, in order to gain more signatures. Of course, Velocity called all that shade-sludge and said to be true to myself instead, and dragons who genuinely liked me would gladly help me out! I couldn't agree more!
Within a couple of days we'd found several dragons willing to sign my collection of community approvals for the contest, but was so enamored with the dragons and region of Ash Haven that I decided to spend a bit longer with them.

While I didn't find any strong signs of my sister here, and I spent much longer here than I'd anticipated, I realize I made two very good friends and quite enjoyed my stay in the end! They even gifted me an item each: a Dustrunner bag from Lightheart, "to keep yourself orderly, and to carry your cape when it's too warm to handle." and a violet corsage from Velocity, "I got you silk flowers to avoid wilting, and they definitely compliment your eyes!" With well wishes, they pointed me in the direction of the next caravan passing through, and blessed my further travels.
