B I O G R A P H Y

Vallejo always felt a stranger among dragons his age. The son of a number of illustrious lineages from across Sornieth, he felt an intense pressure to make something of himself - whether it be joining the ranks of the many defenders he was descended from, pursuing political endeavors in his grandmother's court, or taking up academic work, it seemed as though there was always an eye on him, awaiting the day he chose a path to greatness.

It was not long before he took to the arena, training vigorously to join the ranks of Sornieth's valorous defenders. He soon proved...adequate. There was nothing particularly special about Vallejo's performance in battle, nor was there anything disastrously bad. This frustrated him to no end, and he pushed himself harder and harder, recklessly taking on creatures stronger than himself until he finally met more than his match - a Hydra in the Volcanic Vents struck him hard, attacking from all sides with its three grinning maws and incapacitating him. It would be a long time until he fought again, dashing his hopes to prove himself in combat.

As he healed, he found some small solace in the art collections in the Otherland Libraries, studying them in his ample free time and beginning to replicate some of the pieces he found. It was during this time that he also grew close with Melinoe, a strange dragon who worked as a fortune teller with the Penumbra Circus. She encouraged his interest in art, often coming to watch him work and asking him about his time before coming to the clan.
