Biography
E O W Y N
Princess · Heir |
|
B I O G R A P H Y
It is not lost on the princess how many of her family members will come for her life the moment something happens to her mother. Her own hatchmates are among them, Eilevere with her herbs and Gareth with his menace. This is why she plots, collecting secrets and blackmail and making alliances where they can be found. Everyone thinks her foolish, thinks that all she does is lounge about and gossip with the other members of the court. Eowyn lets them believe so, using it to her advantage that they think her weak. _____________________________________________ She and Eilevere called a truce, her mother had become far too complacent with the attention lavished on her and had forgotten that her position was never safe. Queen Guinevere's kept lover, Nettle, was unnerving with his skulls, bones, and the rags he wore, but even his being there constantly could not stop her planning, only stall. Eowyn went to her sister with a proposal, kill their mother and then she could arrange a kingdom for her lovely sister to take over and increase their kingdom's power. Eilevere would have the power she craved and their mother would be out of the way, a fair trade by any standard, so Eowyn thought. the Princess knew they would need a scape goat, that way if their plot was found she could claim ignorance and innocents and maybe get sympathy from her family and her mother's lovers if she played it right. It took moths of planning and soon she and Eilevere were reaching out to her niece, Neia, who was a talented poison master in the clan she lived in. Neia was thrilled to have their attention and jumped at the chance to help after Eowyn promised her a place of standing and favor within the court, with the condition that Renna, Neia's sister, and Mordan, her younger brother who wanted nothing to do with the power struggle, would not know anything of their plans. Eowyn was thrilled her plans were finally in motion, it was a matter of time before things fell into place and she was in control of her Court, with that power she could send her sister and two nieces to marry into kingdoms to take over and increase her Court's power and expand their kingdom. she knew she would have to hunt Mordan and his wife, Bailey, down and either force them to submit or kill them, she wasn't a fool, with Mordan's visits looked forward to by her mother and the court he was a threat to her. Neia eventually came to them with the toxin, proving it's lethality on a captive, Eowyn smiled and praised her niece for her talent as she explained a lower dose would make it seem like an illness rather than the poison it was. her plans were going nicely, the poison was making her mother sick and she was playing dutiful daughter and taking some of the load from her mother so the elder could rest. Weeks past and Neia seemed foul tempered, but it was of little concern to her as she was running most of the day to day and leaving the big decisions to her mother. Nettle came with Mordan to visit Guinevere, her brother expressing his sincere sympathy and desire for her to feel well, even bringing tea from his clan in hopes it would make her feel better. he showed off his daughter, Eve, who was thrilled to meet her grandmother; with so many dragons constantly she couldn't continue poisoning, fortunately Mordan and his spawn left a few days later. Eowyn and Eilevere began their treachery again, but not before Guinevere gifted Nettle three more eggs, three more claims on the throne. the Queen's health rapidly declined after that and Nettle took to trying his hand at comforting her, but his attempts failed, but Guinevere did not die as they thought she would. she fell into a hibernation like sleep, the healers ensured the Queen was unreachable within her court while sleeping while Nettle took to defending his nest, her mother's last nest and the new threats to her rule. She left Nettle with a warning to leave with his eggs while her mood was lifted and he warned her of her family's ambition and offered her sanctuary. she scoffed, having a plan and wanting to follow through with it, it would rid her of her biggest problems at the moment and, hopefully, pacify them for a time. _______________________________________________ She had been wrong, with her mother gone, Neia back in her own home, Eilevere took the opportunity to force her into hiding. although she had not reveled what they had done, as to do so would admit to her own guilt and leave her open to attacks from their siblings, she spread rumor and sowed doubt until finally Eilevere had more support than Eowyn herself. Eilevere soon took to attacking her, not physically, but verbally and making her seem weak, soon came the use of poisons and Eowyn was forced to make plans to flee her Court. Faramir, her loving husband, was less than ideal for a guard as he knew no fighting skills, but he was determined to learn to keep her safe or attempt to. she appreciated his efforts while they packed, slowly, to not give their flight away. she fell ill and Faramir took to preparing their meals himself while they both packed what they could until all that was left was to leave. Eowyn hissed softly "I will return to reclaim my throne, Sister." but left with a small group of those still loyal to her, they ran to the Court of Blood and Shadow and began slowly rebuilding her power. she allied herself with Shadowpelt, promising a son to his daughter to tie their courts together with blood shared between them. this alliance would come with it's own dangers, but for the moment she had a place of safety and would one day have the might to reclaim her throne. Eowyn did go back after several months of securing her alliance with the Court of Blood and Shadow, when she went back to give a show of force she brought several of the kingdom's warriors with her. she made her claims and made it clear that the new home of the court would be in a different kingdom where she had rebuilt after going missing, claiming she had been so concerned for the Court's well being that she had left her sister to rule temporarily while she took it upon herself to find powerful allies for the Court of Thorns, claiming to have planned this for several weeks before her mother's sleep. But she had returned now and would take her rightful place once more. |
