The Quiet Artisan
In shadow light can best shine. A shooting star... Hrijikirrik is badly-affected by the Arcane warp afflicting the clan. He has lost control of his pearlslime, and keeps drooling it, leaving patches of iridescent material that reflect his misery back at whoever crosses them. They will need to be destroyed... once he can gather the energy to do so. * Hrijirrik has recovered... mostly. His lacquer production seems to have been permanently increased, leading to an odd iridescence on his bellyscales. He has managed to chip away the rest of the tainted pearling, but remains intrigued by the possibilities. * Hrijikirrik is taking the chance to relax and regroup, enjoying Nature-bred teas and other goods brought in by Yskerryth and Stormweaver. |

Hrijikirrik is a quiet artisan who can usually be found in the back of the deepest and darkest of the lava tubes, festooned with his twinkling lights and elaborate knotwork. He is not shy, and will readily hold his ground in an argument or launch into a thorough description of what he is doing, but is naturally reserved and given to fading into the background when not focused on. Despite his native element, Hrijikirrik has always found more in common with the aesthetics and values of Light. He has little patience for trickery or schemes, but a sharp interest in history and attraction to luminescent and glittering things. He does not, however, reject his actual element, instead preferring to use it to set off the shine of his illuminated works. He is usually found with Imminnyll, whose forceful presence tends to dramatically overshadow his own mild affect. He is also good friends and partners with Harvestmoon and Arietty. Colada is very fond of his artworks, and can stare entranced at them for hours. Craft Hrijikirrik works primarily in light sources, crystals, and knotwork. He also has a knack for patiently restoring carvings, artifacts, and found items, which makes him a frequent partner of Keion and Moonglow. Physical Description Hrijikirrik is an extremely small but broadshouldered pearlcatcher with large, rounded wings. He has remarkably similar proportions to Haskaharr, which has led to some speculation that the magic that changed him used the smelter as some manner of model. He has a quiet voice that is often somewhat shaky, and flies with slow, powerful strokes, both remnants of his original fae shape. Combat While he rarely spends much time fighting, Hrijikirrik is capable of self-defense if required. He fights with magic, relying on his natural vitality to outlast opponents rather than on speed or magical might. |

Origin Hrijikirrik's egg was found in the clan's earliest days. Right at the beginning of their first Riot of Rot, an adolescent Kellinlii accidentally spurred him to hatch. Sick, dazed, and confused, he fled down into the comforting darkness of Imminnyll's lava-tube forge where he and the coatl became fast friends. |

Kin Hrijikirrik's ancestry is unknown, though clearly he was either laid in Shadow, or else left there for a very long time. He has no descendants, and has not even courted a mate. |
