Arietty

The Armorer Ah, sure, I can help with that. A shooting star... Arietty is fascinated by the Arcane warp afflicting Cindercone Clan, an event she did not manage to foresee. She is herself relatively unscathed, having been out on a foraging expedition when the meteor passed overhead, though she finds herself highly distracted from tending to them by pure curiosity. * As the Arcane warp is cleaned up, Arietty switches from tending the clan to foraging. * Greenskeeper Gathering brings a rush of primal energy to Arietty. She has poured it into extensive foraging and fishing expeditions. Though she's noticed a strange shadow on the fringes of the clan when she returns from these trips, they always vanish when she tries to take a second look.

Arietty is the most recent addition to the Forgeworkers. An inveterate tinkerer, she specializes in hardened-steel arms and armor but will attempt to improve or upgrade almost anything that enters her grasp. She tends to be unusually direct and courageous for a pearlcatcher, unafraid to interact physically with even the mirror-dominated Cindercone Clan. When not in at the forge, Arietty has served as an able scout and thief and a passable raider. She has some good relationships with wild dragons and beastfolk, and thus serves as a sort of provisional diplomat. Hatched as a nocturne, Arietty retains an ability to perform uncanny imitations of her fellows, which she uses mostly for pranks and good-natured mockery. Her impression of Liglanaerr is the most reliable way to get a rise out of the sly skydancer. She gets along well with most of the clan, especially with the Forgeworkers. The primary exception to this is Imminnyll, who has an instinctive and irrational distrust of the pearlcatcher that has been reciprocated. While always polite and kind, her mischievous streak and a fondness for Lightning craft make some in the clan nervous—might she one day go too far on one or the other? Craft Arietty is a golemworker and a weaponsmith, specializing in hardened tool steel for weapons and cutting tools. Her golems are generally useful but single-purpose and small: meant for monitoring or a simple attack and no more. They generally are biomimetic creations of hardened steel and glittering gemstone. Physical description Arietty is a small, rangy pearlcatcher with long, rounded wings. Her hindlegs and tail are particularly dexterous, and her proportions are such that she generally walks and runs bipedally. She is particularly adept at climbing, and is a fairly skillful flyer. Her pearl is still small and slightly oblong, as it was formed around one of her favored tools. Combat Arietty remains a physical fighter despite her change in breed. She is a scrappy powerhouse, wearing down her opponents with powerful blows. She generally fights alone, but is seeking a team.

Origin Arietty drifted into camp one day as a clanless nocturne. Persistent rumor holds that she was seeking a mate, but instead she found an opportunity to thrive.

Kin Arietty seems to have some kin, but is not in direct contact with them. They are nevertheless unrecorded.

Tsavorite is a sly, feral shadow with gleaming cyan eyes and an inveterate lust for rifling through unattended packs and making off with others' food the second their eyes are off it. He can be charming to friends, however, and quite friendly to his draconic partner. Now Awakened, he maintains a running commentary to her on the weaknesses of local defenses, possible threats, and his opinion on all in the area.

Terviskhar occasionally takes samples of blood and feathers for his studies, though the troodo often evades him.
