Money can be earned by:

- Keeping your dragons fed, earning 250 treasure and 1 gem a day.
- Playing in the Fairgrounds for a maximum of 75,000 treasure each day. (Fastest method here.)
- Leveling and/or exalting dragons for a minimum payout of at least 2,250 treasure per dragon.
- Selling items and dragons in the auction house to other users.
- Offering services in the forums of art, skin/accent making, lore writing, coli grinding, use of your cauldron, and more.
- Acquiring rare dragons for low prices and selling them for a profit.
- Hoarding everything at all times and selling nothing ever until a new update is released that just so happens to require the exact item you now have 72572366 of and selling them to desperate players for a profit like the bird of prey that you are.


As a new player, it's easy to mistakenly sell valuable items for too little. Most players are nice and lovely and wonderful, but just to be safe, here's a list of items you might want to remember as valuable and avoid selling at a low cost to someone unreliable:

- Unhatched Eggs
- Specialty Items such as genes
- Eliminates (a battle stone)
- Familiars that drop from bosses in the coliseum
- Dragons you've hatched with matchy IDs like 90000000 or 90000009
- Gen1 dragons you might hatch that have two or three of the exact same colour
- Anything you might be lucky to win from Roundsey's Raffle Roulette
- User made skins/accents (Site Skins VS Player Skins)
