The Lemon Tree
"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." This is often believed to imply that a lemon is a bad thing to be handed - but the overall message is of the lemon's power to take a negative start and with only a little effort, become something pleasant and positive - a power lemons have been believed to possess throughout many cultures in history.
In fact, some believed that those who had a lemon tree simply growing near their home could never be harmed by negative energies. Lemons themselves were included in a variety of detoxifying and healing rituals and remedies. The bright yellow colour itself is a strong symbol of joy and optimism. To this day, the scent is considered a clean one included in many cleaning products. As with most of nature, they tend to have a renewing presence. This patient, gentle soul offers much the same. Those who have spent even a few moments settled under their shade leave feeling refreshed and hopeful without any effort on their part. It is a natural thing for Eudicot to siphon off whatever is currently ailing a nearby soul and then magically purify it into metaphysical lemonade to be enjoyed. So please, by all means rest awhile under their protection. They are a big fan of quiet companionship, but also love singers and innocent hatchlings. Rutaceae even reads to them on occasion and they enjoy that as well. |

"Lovely shares this week! [Omit] Eudicot wears the gladegift garlands so well, especially with the little peeks of yellow from their accent and keel."

"First of all I would love to mention that your comfort dragons look exceptionally pleasant and becalming, each in their own, unique ways. You did a fabulous job on their themes and descriptions, and they all received their stars from me!
[Omit]
Eudicot's lemon tree theme must be my personal favourtite, because it is absolutely unique and well-designed. It instantly remembers me of all the wonderful journeys through Mediterranean countries I did in the past, and those memories indeed have a comforting effect. I also really adore Eudicot's protective aura, and how you feel secure around them, and how you almost can hear the gentle wind rushing through their leaves, and can smell the bracing and refreshing lemons.
[Omit] I really like how your comfort dragons are all connected to creativity in one way or another! I think it's very important that they not only heal the pain, but also give you the energy and courage to heal yourself in the end, and become creative again, giving a meaning to your own life. I think it's a beautiful message <3"

"I really love all your example dragons, the lore for Eudicot is super sweet. And that quote, "...such is the way of all lemon trees, sapient or otherwise", is just so hopeful, it makes me think of slow, sunny days where nothing bad can touch you, even if it's just for a little while."

"Oh, I Liked all of these - but only Eudicot got a boop today, as the only one new to me! (As was Rutaceae...) Lemon Keel - wonderful! Love the idea of a refreshing - literally! - lemon tree, regardless of who thought it up!"

"This weeks theme is so nice, and it will be relaxing looking through everyone's dragons. Out of the three you shared, Eudicot is by far my favorite. Talking with people can be very helpful, but sometimes one just needs to be out in nature. That he is a lemon tree is even better. That smell would be so nice. Using the gladegift garland as lemons was a brilliant choice."

"Ohhh Eudicot is such a gorgeous lemon tree - perfect mix of apparel and accent to get that impression across, even without the decription, though I enjoyed that very much too! I think sitting under their branches/wings would be so soothing and peaceful."
