 Sylvanus' parents were Drisa the Imperial of the Ice flight, and Glenwood the Skydancer of the Nature flight. He was born in a mighty lair on the Millmeadows.

Sylvanus takes after his mother in a love of nature, especially the forest. It is unclear why he chose to come to the Starfall Isles instead of returning to his mother's birthplace in the Nature domain, but he flits through the trees of the Star Wood Strand like a spirit, there one second, gone the next. He gathers many plants in his travels and sells them to the tea shops and herbalists, and even some to the florists. Leonard is one of his most frequent customers.

Sylvanus doesn't talk much, but he does play his harp. If you're in the trees in the early hours of the morning, or just at dusk, you might hear him playing, but you'll never see him. Only the music drifts on the breeze, haunting and beautiful.

For this, and other strange habits, he is called the Gladewalker, and some even believe him to be some kind of spirit. But Sylvanus is flesh and blood, and he even has a lover. He and Esperanza have had two hatchlings, the one, Glade, has grown up to follow in his father's footsteps.
