 Rhox was born in a lesser lair carved into the Crystalspine Reaches to Amadeus the Wind Coatl and Machka the Nature Skydancer. When he was old enough, he moved to a venerable lair near the Moonportal in the Sunbeam Ruins, where he stayed for quite a long time, three years, in fact.

After a time, Rhox became restless. He was an intelligent, well-educated drake with proficient skill in spellwork, especially in battle, but he was growing bored with his time in the Sunbeam Ruins, and longed for something he couldn't put a name to. He decided at last to travel the world of Sornieth, and see if the question would answer itself in time.

After travelling for five years, he finally came to his home domain, the Starfall Isles. He briefly considered stopping in at his home lair, but he wasn't sure how much would have changed in the intervening years, and he felt no real connection there anymore. He chose instead to stay on the Starwood Strand, and drifted around between the local clans, uncertain of his purpose there.

That is, until he saw her. The most beautiful Skydancer he had ever laid eyes upon. Her name was Rosetta, and though she was his senior by two decades, the years had barely touched her beauty. She had a long list of offspring by many lovers, and although she currently shared her lair space with Enfys the Coatl, with whom she'd had two nests, they were merely friends.

When Rhox introduced himself, and Enfys saw the lovestruck look in his eyes, the Coatl merely hummed with amusement, and told the younger Skydancer that he was wasting his time, but gave him advice on how to woo her anyway, and wished him luck.
