I'm too lazy to write an actual story so here, have a nice little bullet-pointed list of the most important parts of this story.
- After a years of estrangement (and no be asking why), Stan heard about a new little sister he has. Despite advice from Marius, Stan goes home to meet his little sister.
- Ford’s got a neat lab set up in the Driftwood Drag. Stan goes there and knocks on the door. After casual threatening with a crossbow (Ford is acting a little paranoid), he invites Stan in. Because, yeah, why shouldn’t he meet their sister.
- Claudia is a little adorable thing - Ford’s taking care of her because their parents are otherwise indisposed and Ford is a ~responsible adult~ thank you very much. Yeah, that’s a jab. Stan is not a responsible adult.
- Anyway, we hang out, and then Ford is like, “Welp! Time for the experiment!” Claudia runs after him gurgling, “Yay experiment!” (She’s actually more like 14 not 2, but we get the point. She’s an excited kid.) Stan thinks “Oh yay science.” (As a side note why are all my science dragons Water element?)
- I’m not 100% sure what happens is but the point is that we get into a fight in the middle of the experiment and it’s everyone’s fault. Except Claudia. It’s not her fault. And references the reason why we are estranged for these past thirty years. Maybe not that many years. Maybe twenty-five years. Anyway, the experiment goes awry and Ford gets sucked into a portal!
- Everyone freaks out and tries to get him back, but it’s for nothing. Claudia tells Stan Ford was absolutely right about him being a screw-up and she never wants to see him again. She’ll find Ford all by herself.
- Stan leaves.
- Later, Marius is like, “Told you. Attachment breeds resentment.”
