Biography

gladiolus; they/them
keeper of the glade -- This blurb is from the previous owner!

They're descended from one of the original Imperials (on their mother's side). Gladi's lineage has gotten them a lot of attention, most of it not wanted. After all, a second-generation Imperial, if they got together and died in the same place as several of their closest friends, might hypothetically contain enough Lightweaver Juice (technical term) to form an Emperor! Horrors! They were doing just fine hiding out in the forests of Nature territory where nobody had even heard of Luminax...until they were abducted by the Enforcer. One moment, they were making sure the plants were growing properly. The next, they were caught in a flash of cyan light, heard a distorted voice squeeing about how pretty they were, and landed in the Hewn Suburbs.

Despite Light territory being the number 1 place Gladi didn't want to be, the Hewn Suburbs were remarkably pleasant. As a project forsaken by all reputable Light Flight members, it was filled with fellow Imperials who wanted to be left alone and understood Gladi's frustration with their lineage. They quickly developed a friendship with Necronicon over their shared struggles. While they were talking, she warned them about Mistake and his thing for Emperors. Given Mistake's obsession, he absolutely wouldn't pass up getting an opportunity to meet, and perhaps recruit for the Hewn Shade Cabal, a child of one of the original Imperials. And given his reputation, Necra wasn't sure that he'd take no for an answer. Sure enough, Mistake and Archon came over when they heard about the fabulous G2 Imp.

Mistake approached Gladi, light glinting off the soulless jewels of his ghastcrown...and Gladi promptly enclosed him in a hug. The relatively small and enthusiastic Imperial was, to put it shortly, the cutest thing they had ever seen. Sure, he was a Shade worshiper, but everyone has flaws. Mistake wasn't sure what to make of the whole thing, but gladly accepted Gladi coming with him to the Hewn Shade Cabal. He then informed Gladi about the Enforcer, which lined up with their description of their abduction and gave them motivation to start working with the Hewn Shade Cabal. Meanwhile, they get to hang out with Mistake, who they think totally likes them back; he just needs to get past his hang-up over them being second generation and just go for it already. They've seen the way he gets all awkward around them and the way he watches them training. Gladi dabbled in battle training back in their home clan, so they're continuing to train with the Hewn Shade Cabal in hopes of giving the group some much-needed muscle and continuing to fluster Mistake.

As well as serving as the Hewn Shade Cabal's muscle, they're continuing to engage in their passion for gardening. Using a combination of Nature magic and regular cultivation techniques, they've revived the tradition from the old Shadesw--- of growing flowers. They started doing it after Mistake commented on how much he missed Deathstroke and her garden, figuring that helping Mistake regain some connection to his vanished friends would be a nice gesture and because they wanted to explore some of the flora in Light territory since they landed there anyway. They're not sure if they want to go back to the Labyrinth or not. They're definitely annoyed at the Enforcer for taking them from their home and are eager to help Mistake and Archon take them down, but they were kinda unceremoniously plucked from their job and want to at least go for a visit to make sure the plants are okay. They've been impressed at how friendly the residents of the Hewn Suburbs are, though, and are quickly building a life with many more social connections to beings other than plants than they had back in Nature territory, though. One thing is for sure. When they go back for their visit to make sure their plants are okay, they're bringing Mistake with them.

This dragon is absolutely gorgeous! Everything looks amazing, the apparel, the accent, the familiar, the scene... of course, being a Gen 2 Imperial also doesn't hurt ;w;

Gladiolus is beautiful. And a G2 imp! That's really impressive. I love their outfit and how well it works with their colors. Jaguar is in my top 3 genes, so it's really a pleasure to see it here.

A GEN 2 IMP AHHH! I love them a lot, they look super cute and friend-shaped, love the use of all the feathers and flowers and their green eyes are a very nice final touch of colour to make them stand out! :D

Saw quite a few outfits I really liked, but my favorite has gotta go to Gladiolus! The stark contrast between the pink and the black, coupled with the rose motif makes for a really nice first impression. Beautiful and frail though it may look, one must take care to remember that a rose bush is much more hardy than it’s appearance suggests. I feel as though Gladiolus here encapsulates that sentiment!

(Also can I just say how much I love their green eyes? I feel like sometimes matching eyes take away from a dragon, y’know? Like if they had arcane eyes I feel as though they would just get lost amidst all the pink.)

It has to be Gladiolus for me! The way their apparel holds up with their colors; this name fits mainly because they give off such soft, pink warrior vibes! "Gladi"ator, ya know? It's an absolutely stunning name for a stunning dragon!! Also, I read a snippet of their lore and aaaa they get a boop from me!

The scene with the apparel and those colors, im dying. And them being a gen 2 also. Platinum glimmer and shadow jaguar having a hint of pink to match the wings is amazing. Aaaa i just love them.
The amount of scatters to get to this point was so worth it imo!
