Biography
She's the head of the Bureau of Wholesome Vibes, a government organization that regulates...vibes. It's a bigger deal than it sounds like because dragons' vibes are strongly related to the management of their souls and magic. They work closely with the Edgelord Bureau and are also romantically involved with Spencer, its lead, which is probably a violation of professional courtesy, but they're cute so nobody really cares. They do the kinds of Men In Black-type investigations that you'd expect from a fictional government agency, except that they respectively work with edgelording and wholesome vibes and issuing licenses etc. for that sort of thing.
Her familiar was liberated from an unlicensed edgelord who'd been attempting to harness the poor creature for necromantic powers when it really just wanted to prance around fields and eat sugar cubes despite being undead, which Claire is now treating it with. Prism is now a beloved Vibe Bureau outreach familiar and regularly comes to public events to be petted and ridden by hatchlings.

Rappelling down mountains and high-speed chases through the clouds are all in a day’s work for Claire. The Edge Flight never rests in its mission to destroy the sacred balance of vibes so essential to the Bureau. This mission, however, was a little more low-key. Claire and her partner-in-crime/partner-in-general, Spencer, had been assigned a stakeout. The Edge Flight had holed themselves up in a cliffside cavern. Spencer reached over to adjust Claire’s equipment. One of the pieces had been screwed on backwards. Now they could hear everything their targets were saying. It wasn’t exactly enjoyable to listen to Edge Flight chatter. Claire could feel some of her vibes deteriorating at the mere sound of their unchecked edginess. Still, they pressed on, taking notes in her pink flower-covered journal to ensure maximum efficiency. Anything for the Bureau. Anything to ensure the sanctity and balance of dragon vibes.
Stakeout Day 2
They knew stakeouts weren’t supposed to be fun, but this was even worse than expected. Spencer had started throwing a rubber ball against the cave wall. The repeated thunks were starting to wear thin on Claire’s patience. She reminded herself that they had to work together in order to stop the Edge Flight from corrupting the vibes of innocent dragons, heaved a pointed sigh, and went back to listening. Nothing had changed. The dragons were still talking about… whatever it is that edgelords like to talk about. Despite knowing Spencer like the back of their claw, Claire was struggling to make heads or tails of it. Perhaps the next day would bring some more illuminating news.
Stakeout Day 3
Finally, some movement! Another member of the Edge Flight entered the lair. Claire heard a heavy grinding noise and some scattered cheers. They were clearly excited about something. This was it— their time to move! She nodded at Spencer. The two of them crept out of the small cave and began quietly scaling the cliff’s edge. They peered over the lip of the well-lit cave. The Edge Flight operatives were gathered around some strange… machine. Claire couldn’t quite make it out. They asked Spencer if he could see anything. The darker dragon shook his head and motioned for the two of them to get a little closer. Claire hesitated. If they moved in now they might be spotted, but if they waited, the Edge Flight might activate the odd machine. After checking the air for vibes and not liking what she saw, the dragon made their decision: time to move in.
The two of them struck fast, somersaulting into the mouth of the cave. In a puff of sweet blossoms and cherry perfume, Claire took out three operatives with a wink at Spencer, who had only managed to pin down two. Hand-to-hand combat was always a specialty of Claire’s. It was the yoga. Soon, the two of them found themselves in a lair full of unconscious bodies. They knew they had to be quick. The pink flower-covered dragon grabbed the machine, stowed it under one arm, and swooped out of the cave.
All in all, a successful stakeout. If only Claire had known that she and Spencer had been followed…
