Mauretania's cheerful, energetic personality stands in stark contrast to her sister's nervous, jumpy one. She's exuberant and never seems to stand still, just like the archetypal spiral dragon, and if there's one thing she loves, it's racing. She can fly at incredible speeds, aided by the wind, and she's gained a reputation as an unbeatable speedster; by now she's won nine awards and counting! This love of racing does have a downside, however: her being so well-known does little to help her sister's constant paranoia. When Lusitania started fleeing from whoever - or whatever - has been trying to kill her, Mauretania had to give up the career she loved so much. She doesn't regret her choice, as she'd rather not put her sister in any danger and would like to stay with her rather than letting her run away on her own, but at times she wishes things hadn't ended up like they did. She prefers not to dwell on it, though, as she'd much rather stay positive and live life while she has the chance rather than being trapped in the past. This live-in-the-moment philosophy is one she hopes to pass on to other dragons; she'd love for all her friends and family to be as cheerful and carefree as she is, and so she tries her best to encourage others to live happily. Upon settling in the Lanternlight Clan, where she was unknown by every dragon save for Manfred the aerial stuntman, Mauretania sparked up a strange friendship with Olympic, who she has almost nothing in common with. The two of them bicker and lob good-natured insults at one another constantly, but at the end of the day they're utterly inseparable. They like to stargaze together on clear nights, and other dragons will often come and join them as well.
