Ortha grew up hearing stories of the Windswept Plateau, both from their father and from the various wind dragons who joined their home clan. They quickly grew interested in visiting the plateau, so when they were of age, they made the journey from their undersea clan to the surface. Ortha didn't initially come to Greenport. Instead, they washed up on the Zephyr Steppes and travelled the plateau, learning and experiencing different wind clans' cultures and art. They immersed themself in the flight and gained a deep and passionate appreciation for it.

When they eventually arrived at the port city, they made a strong impression on the local dragons. Most citizens weren't used to visitors being so familiar with their customs, let alone have such strong opinions on it. Illyn was particularly impressed by Ortha, and the two quickly bonded over their love of reading. The ridgeback was also impressed by the city, and appreciated Greenport for being so close to the sea, as they'd started to miss their home flight. Ortha decided to stay in Greenport and quickly became a beloved citizen of the growing city. Once Ortha had met each member of the existing Council, all of them recognized the keen knowledge and passion the ridgeback had cultivated on their travels. They approached Ortha with a position on the court, which they accepted.

Ortha is a lively and passionate dragon. A patron of the arts, they adore music and theater and sponsor quite a few young artists. They're invested in the culture of Greenport. In session, they regularly fight for money and resources to be diverted to education to raise the next generation of artists. And it is a fight to them; they've nearly come to blows with Illyn on several occasions over Greenport's budget.

Outside of session, Ortha enjoys reading, especially poetry and fables. They're a familiar face to every bookkeeper and librarian in town, and each one tries to make sure that they're never in the same place as Illyn. The pair can get quite loud, whether it's a friendly conversation or a heated debate.

Oh gosh, I love the blue and orange combo and they are no exception. Their apparel is incredible, I love the way you've matched the haunted flame and celebration sage sets especially around the head. I also rarely see a use of the conflagrant halo that I like, but wow do they wear it well. Also, major love to the familiar match, the blues match the secondary accent color instead of the main body blues and it looks really really good!

I've never seen the tutor waist wrap used with the haunted flame collar, but on Ortha they go perfectly with their fire trail- which is in and of itself a gorgeous gene and color combo. Even their familiar shares their color scheme, it's so fun to look at!

The adjudicator rings and the haunted flame ribbon manage to work amazingly together rather than making their wings too busy, and the fire halo is just the perfect fit - I feel like I could toast marshmellows on this dragon in the best possible way. They are just so wonderfully pleasing to look at. Plus, the haunted flame collar looks amaaazing on F pose ridgebacks, why was I not aware of this? The harsh sunset oranges with the teals and hints of gold strewn throughout this design and the harsh sunlight of the dunes behind them wrap them all neatly into this gorgeous little package! ortha here immediately caught my eye as soon as i went to your lair — what a fun combination of colors! i love how you've combined pieces from all these different apparel sets, from the sage cover to the haunted flame collar and ribbons to the tutor apparel set as well! it's so fun to see all of the different shades of orange and blue, even in their original colors as well. maybe to some it might look busy, but the different shades all blend together very well to me; it's a very cohesive and smooth look! like looking at an abstract painting or something, haha. they have this grand and almost theatrical flair to them; i can definitely imagine how they're a patron of the arts. :D
