Biography

Trundle
Librarian | Flightless | Nerd
firemid.png
Trundle wasn't always flightless. He was the runt of his nest, which caused his parents to pressure him much harder than his siblings. When it came time for him to learn to fly, his parents took part in the common plague tradition of dropping their hatchlings off a high point and letting them figure it out. He couldn't manage it and injured his wings, but his parents forced him to keep trying. He reluctantly made repeated fruitless attempts, until one try further injured his wings to the point he couldn't use them. This event was the last push he needed to leave the Scarred Wasteland and find a new home.

Despite leaving, however, he still has many Plague flight values instilled in him. He abhors weakness, though he's more concerned with weak wills than weak bodies. He's a very determined dragon, and refuses to back down to a challenge, even if it's not a great idea. He takes pride that, even if he can't fly, he's still managed to build a successful life in a Wind city all on his own. Well, for the most part; after a mimic took a liking to his library, he's had Antiel to help him reach some of the higher spots in his den. Because he grew up in the scarred wasteland, he has a hard time relating to other dragons, and he prefers to be left alone to read.

Another very warm, autumn-y dragon (I just can't resist those!) with some very well placed apparel+accent and a cool backstory (another one that works well with the website's lore). I appreciate that it isn't so much that it distracts from his unique gene/color pattern. Also gotta give some special props to the layering here - I really dig how the candle in front is placed nicely over the book, as if lighting the pages for him to read.

This lad's got quite the backstory! Love the use of the accent to indicate his damaged wings. The book collection implies a well-read and perhaps introverted personality; despite the hints of rashness and competitiveness in his personality that were instilled in him from his Plague Flight upbringing. I'm not normally a fan of the thylacine gene but I think it works wonderfully here; I love the blend from bronze to black down his muzzle.

His colors go so well together and I love mage's walnut coat on him. The familiar and background are really fitting too and his bio is awesome as well. It's easy to see that you put a lot of effort into him

My love for super nerdy dragons is reappearing yet again for Trundle. At this point I think I just love any dragon with the Aged Book Collection. His autumn colors give off a very calm feeling. The fact that he's a plague dragon but isn't obsessed with fighting and strength, but rather determination, is really unique. Also in love with the apparel that indicates damaged wings.

I love Trundle's warm, homely vibe. I'm a little obsessed with how well the dark pattern on his throat from Savannah matches the dark patch on his wings from his accent. His Thylacine pattern is subtle, but the stripes on his neck look really cool, and I love the way it colors his face that warm brown. His apparel suits him to a T. I love the layering of the overcoat over the high noon vest to make it formal while keeping the rolled up sleeves, perfect for a librarian.
