Ocha takes no shortcuts with his tea blends. The picking, drying, combining process can take weeks, but it's all worth it for the perfect brew. Fresh, crisp notes will always be Ocha's favorite. Lately, though, Ocha's been venturing beyond his flavor comfort zone.

The rich array of local herbs is what brought Ocha to the Tabemono woods; Ain is the reason he stayed. Ocha deeply admires Ain's culinary courage. Even his most outlandish creations (lemon raisin bread?? Frosted spinach buns???) have their charm. When Ain suggested opening a cafe together, Ocha instantly agreed.

Ain has seen Ocha through a lot: his mother's death, several unrequited loves, countless jabs about Ocha's ancestry. He may not look it, but Ocha is 1/4 Wind; he spent his his childhood summers at his grandpa's tea shop deep in the steppe. "But you're Nature-born," some customers insist, "you should speak properly." "If you have a problem with Wind," Ain cuts in, "you can see yourself out."

Each each yawn, each wink, each clever quip Ain throws his way, Ocha falls a little more in love. It's hard to remember not loving Ain—but that's how these feelings go for Ocha. If Ain ever plans on noticing, Ocha prays it's soon. If he never does, well. Nothing a few years of staring into the rain can't fix ...

When not preparing teas, Ocha's tending to his other passions. An avid gardener, Ocha has taken to raising ghost plants (with which he totally brews experimental ghost tea). He's also got a huge soft spot for critters of all kinds. Bugs, fish, sentient chairs—if he can pet it, Ocha's gonna pet it. At any given time there are between four and fifteen stray bumble hanging out in his garden. Only one bumble gets to come into the cafe, though. Its name is Strudel.
