Dragon Log

She hatched on the first day of the Thundercrack Carnivale, out of a Lightning Egg that had only recently been found in the Coli. Perhaps it was the original location of her egg in the Scorched Forest, or perhaps it was simply coincidence, but within minutes of her hatching she had attracted a Moss-Covered Golem to her side, and the older cat golem almost immediately initiated a familiar bond. Now “Rip Van Winkle” (or “Rip,” as his little Mirror insists on calling him,) is busy enthralling “his” dragon with story after story of exploits in the Coli. It looks like this little one’s egg location may indeed dictate her destiny, as the Mirror is extremely interested in these tales, and has already asked when she can learn how to fight…

8-2-20: It seems that magical surges are still occurring within the lair, though perhaps less frequently than before. No sooner had Cryptica reached her full adult stature then she was surrounded by a pulsing light. Oddly, the light was the golden glow of Light Flight's magic, rather than the light blue of Lightning magic. Even more oddly, when the light dissipated, Cryptica's body had been touched with what appeared to be a scattering of sunlight! No one is sure what, exactly, this means, except, perhaps for the obvious fact that Cryptica is already living up to her name....

8-9-20: A few days after reaching maturity, Cryptica moved into the Warrior Section of the Caves, where she tends to hang out in the Training Grounds...and oddly, the Gaming Caves. The Clan is not yet certain what this might mean, but she seems to be fascinated by some kid of odd word game which no other dragon can figure out--not even Lughnasadh...

8-23-20: Cryptica made a new friend today: The Clan hatched a Fire Egg, in honor of the first day of the Flameforger’s Festival, and it produced another Mirror! Even better, Obscuria is a Mirror dragon with a perfect warrior talent, as she can hide herself completely in conjured smoke. What an asset that could be when fighting enemies! Crpytica has already introduced herself, and is enjoying getting to know her fellow “Festival Dragon” immensely—even if it does mean she has to put up with that strange Fae, Puck. Hopefully she can convince her new friend to join her in the Training Grounds when Obscuria is old enough….

10-23-20: Rip has Awakened! Well...for a few minutes anyway...Perhaps with this new energy he will stay awake more often? On the other hand, he could just use it to channel a sleep spell...that is affecting all dragons and familiars in the vicinity...and seems to spreading by the minute….Oh dear…

...And what, on Sornieth, is that strange Golem that just appeared near Rip? Did he just...conjure a mate out of his dreams? Perhaps Cryptica should look more closely at her familiar friend....
