Guardian kami (great spirit) of the Hoshizakura (a hybrid of sakura and starwood trees in the Starwood Strand) kodama (a shapeshifting tree spirit), he is the culmination of every sakura petal to have ever fallen: their tiny spirits have amassed to form him. The smell of sakura wafts through the air when he is nearby, as each each beat of his wings produces the scent. The fleeting life of a sakura blossom is a delicate thing. However, no one can deny their majesty, nor the awe that they inspire. These, too, live on in him, as he is a spirit of the arts. A muse, he evokes emotion and summons inspiration in mortals. Make no mistake, however. He guards the kodama (a term which includes both the tree spirit and the tree it inhabits) of his grove with a paternal ferocity, and can be quite potent when angered. Unlike his wife, Astarrea, in whose territory his grove grows, he prefers to attack directly, appearing physically before mortals in order to fight them. It is a very rare thing, however, as reaching him would mean somehow getting through Astarrea's territory: quite the feat indeed.
