The Adjutant
Plaguewinds stole from the clan funds again. Scorzalite has taken off for the Plague/Shadow border with Telleren, hoping to learn the ways of running a profitable business from the ridgeback, or at least earn some coin of her own. She also makes regular visits back to her native Flight, where she often spends time with Arenite. She fully expects Cindercone to have imploded financially by the time she returns. |

Scorzalite is Cindercone Clan's self-proclaimed adjutant. She typically keeps meticulous track of the assets that the clan casually controls, tracking income, expenses, and the status of the clan's dragons and beastfolk by a combination of interviews and on-the-wing observation, and at the moment is offering these services to black marketeer Telleren instead. She records everything in a set of looseleaf notes in a script that only she can read. Less prone to mimickry than most of her kind, Scorzalite restricts herself primarily to phrases and intonations to whomever she is talking. She stands out amidst the rough dragons of the Borderlands as cold and analytical, no matter her company. Scorzalite kept mostly to the company of the clan-leaders, offering assistance with the running of the clan whether asked-for or not. While Plaguewinds largely ignored her suggestions, Liglanaerr found her useful, and Hiirkaen thinks her enthusiasm for boring work that no one else wants to do is extremely valuable. Stormweaver absolutely adored her because she allows him to track who is appropriating clan funds for their own projects—for similar reasons, Arietty, Imminnyll, and the ridgebacks do not mind her absence. Craft Scorzalite prefers to work with gemstones and other polished rocks set in leather or cordage. Some of these bear minor enchantments, but she is not an accomplished mage and generally seeks the assistance of Hyskerekk or Kellinlii for these purposes. Physical description Scorzalite is a small nocturne with proportionately large wing and powerful flight muscles. She is unusually aerial for an Earth dragon, able to keep aloft for days at a time when necessary. She walks on hindlegs and wings when grounded, and has a cold, mineral scent. Combat Scorzalite is unusual amongst Earth dragons for preferring a fast, lightweight fighting-style. She zips about on her long, gull-like wings deploying slashes and Earth-infused gouges like a handful of flying scree. While competent on the ground, she is miserably poor at any fighting that takes her into the water. She typically fights alongside Telleren and Arenite, though she has somewhat more appetite for combat than they do and has been known to set out on expeditions without them. |

Origin Scorzalite was hatched by Plaguewinds in the Nightfire Outpost, her parents having hoped to win an alliance with the enclave. She grew up largely on the ridgeback's shoulder, observing everything she did and mirroring off her acid tongue. |

Kin Scorzalite is a child of the wild nocturnes that lurk in the shadowy crevasses of the Parched Canyonwalks. She visits them once a season or so, returning with small trinkets and gemstones, but generally doesn't seem close to them. |
