Believed to be imaginary, Mune is said to appear as a Nocturne hatchling with glowing eyes. Only the hatchlings claim to have seen him, but Outpost Toast's resident ghost, Thurlow, has been observed conversing with empty air. According to the hatchlings, Mune is rather playful and friendly. His favourite animal are frogs and his laugh sounds like the tinkling of a bell.
No one knows much about Mune, but it seems to be his nature to protect hatchlings. The older residents of the outpost believe that Mune is just the hatchling's imaginary friend, but according to the hatchlings, Mune wasn't imagined by any of them. He's real, and he's their friend. He helps Weyland build sandcastles when Kuro is busy, takes naps with Mint, retrieves lost items for Ronan, and forages with Gloom at night.
The hatchlings claim that Mune has powers that he uses to help them. He can move things without touching them, he can disappear and reappear where ever he wants, and can even talk directly into their minds without moving his mouth. Gloom has mentioned that Mune once saved him from an angry Hippogriff by scaring it off. Whether or not Mune is real or simply a figment of strong imaginations is still something of a debate within the outpost. Most dragons dismiss the idea of even entertaining the thought that Mune exists. But there are some, the outpost's own Captain included, that aren't sure. Perhaps Mune isn't so imaginary? |
