Biography

Gloom
The Forager

"Gloom is pretty shy so you might have some trouble trying to talk to him. But if you're patient and have some toys on hand, he'll approach you eventually."
_______________________________

Perhaps even more shy than Temper, Gloom is the son of Nightshade. At night he likes to collect small plants. He almost never goes anywhere without his Mith Doll or Olava. He is very quiet and prefers to stay inside during the day in his lair with his mother. He loves toys, and is especially fond of masks.
Born in Wispwillow Grove, Gloom moved with his mother, Nightshade, and Indiana to Outpost Toast not long after he hatched. There he met Rift and her daughter, Olava. He and Olava quickly became best friends and are almost inseparable.

Strangely, Gloom has an unexplainable shadow creature that resides within his body and protects him from any harm. It's unknown what this creature is or where it came from or if he was born with it. Nightshade believes it to be a blessing from the Shadowbinder herself. The creature is capable of altering its mass and can create tendrils of solid shadow. It can also create illusions but is incapable of verbal communication. It is clearly intelligent and capable of understanding language. Gloom is currently learning how to better understand and fight with this creature. Although Glory would prefer that he learned how to fight without it. Who needs to fight when a mysterious shadowy substance fights for you?

Gloom wants to be a forager when he grows up, and can be found outside at night, searching for all manners of plants. He always knows where to find the rarer types. Gloom is nervous around most of the adult dragons in the outpost and is especially scared of strangers. He doesn't mind Neptune, Glory, or Arcade, all of whom are his teachers. He and Olava like to nap curled around each other.
