"What good is a ship for if there's no crew?"

The fae is gathering and setting aside clothing and other supplies in bags so large it looks impossible for him to carry. "Ahoy. I'm Riptide, the quartermaster for the Nematic, that's our ship. It's here, in our home port. We're all preparing to set sail again soon. As the quartermaster, my preparations are extremely important. The quartermaster basically takes care of the crew. I need to make sure there's enough supplies, especially rations, for our voyage. We're a merchant ship, so eventually we'll dock and acquire more supplies, but it would be foolish to leave without our own sustenance. The crew is the most important thing to me, without it, the ship is just a bunch of wood drifting aimlessly. So I would appreciate it if you let me concentrate on counting the provisions for my crew."
The Nematic
Maintaining a new allegiance to the Arcanist and the clan, this group of water dragons, almost as if in a sub-clan, have formed their own ship's crew. Their ship, the Nematic arrives in other lands by port, and is another means of gathering, trading, and profiting. The word nematic itself is an adjective referring to a state of liquid crystal, representing the crew's dual nature of water and association with the Crystal Nook. unknown.png
