"Ahoy, I'm Unity. We're only in our home port for a short time, then it's back out to sea. I'm the merchant coordinator. Our ship, the Nematic, well, ... acquires goods while we're out and around the world. Depending on, hm, how those goods were gathered... Well, I carefully funnel it through one of our mainland merchants who takes it to the auction house so that our clan may profit. For example, goods that we fairly bartered for are brought to Zerrin, the merchant. Other goods that we... hmm... commandeered, are sent to Feathertail, whose business is conducted... behind the auction house. *cough cough* Pirates? What pirates? We are a merchant ship only... Definitely no piracy here."

Maintaining a new allegiance to the Arcanist and the clan, this group of water dragons, almost as if in a sub-clan, have formed their own ship's crew. Their ship, the Nematic arrives in other lands by port, and is another means of gathering, trading, and profiting. The word nematic itself is an adjective referring to a state of liquid crystal, representing the crew's dual nature of water and association with the Crystal Nook.
