Notes:

Anleifr's name means "heir to the ancestors".
He hatched as a Guardian just as the newly-revived Seeker order of the Gaolers started to interact with the world once more.
As one of the Seekers held a seminar for the Outpost Clan about the Gaolers' ancient duties and about how the Outpost, specifically, could aid the newly revived order so that the Seekers, in turn, could aid them, a fierce conviction took root in the young hatchling.
He had found his Charge. Like many of his siblings before him, it was Victory Against the Shade... but unlike his older siblings, Anleifr found a way to protect his Charge without leaving his Clan. He would become a Gaoler - a Keeper, and maybe in time even an Overseer - and he would help Nattr and Dagr and Asfrithur and everyone, and he would battle the Shade here, at home, and make sure it stays down.
Impressed with the young Guardian's zeal, the visiting Seeker granted him an enchanted piece of ice, taken straight from the heart of the Fortress of Ends and Blessed by the Wardens of the Gaolers to transform whichever dragon that consumed it into a Gaoler and bolster the ranks which had been faltering for so long. It had primarily been meant to be given to dragons that would be willing to join the newly-reformed Seeker order in their patrols and give them the members they were sorely lacking... but considering the fact that the Outpost rests on top of a festering Shade-wound, the Seeker was sure that his Warden would forgive him for granting it to an aspiring Keeper.
Anleifr is still has much to learn, but has an instinctual grip on his new magic, and once his wandering Seeker tutors get over their confusion about how Gaoler and Light magic mesh, they praise him for his ingenuity.
Anleifr always makes sure that roving Seeker bands feel welcome and safe at the Outpost, which has quickly become a favourite rest stop for them.
Anleifr's magic is characterised by constructions of solid Light, which by all rights shouldn't be possible. The traps and prisons he leaves behind are beautiful, though, and as he gets older, they get more and more refined.
The Frostbite Hummingbird was a gift from the Seekers, so that he might be kept in the loop about shade activities and keep contact with his tutors.
Happily mated to Aissa, a Seeker. He is the main hatchling caretaker and always enjoys welcoming her home into safety so that she can relax.
