herbalist | farmer
Born in Moshkaran, Perpherine was trained in herbalism by Gwenvael at the Botanical School of Moshkaran. Her schooling was paid for by her mother Madeka with the intent that Perpherine would be able to help her get influence with the brewers of Moshkaran. To Madeka's dismay, she ended up being far more into herbalism and the growing of plants than the fermenting and brewing, something Madeka thought was more fit for lowly commoners. Perpherine didn't inform her mother of what she was training in until she'd already bought an airship ticket to Riftmaw and then on to Refuge, longtime allies of Moshkaran.

Madeka has been making concerted efforts to reconnect with Perpherine by sending letters through Palak, Madeka's former apprentice. Seeing her daughter as a failed investment, Madeka seeks to recoup losses by either bringing Perpherine back into the fold, or being repaid. Most letters passed on by Palak meet a swift end in a flare of angry magic, but what she doesn't know is that Palak is being blackmailed into watching Perpherine and reporting back to Madeka.
