| xx | Pumpkaboo is one of the oldest beings to walk the lands, though not many are aware of that. She was never made a fallen god so much as she simply wandered back into the realm of mortals, more interested in the change of the land and seasons than the timeless extravagance of the heavens. For all intents and purposes, she still retains her godhood, but she has no interest in broadcasting the fact and simply presents herself as a wandering wood witch. Her favorite activities include exploring new forests and plains, gathering medicinal herbs, telling stories to any who want to listen, and caring for her self-appointed charge, Icarus. |
| xx | "Gather round, little hatchlings, and I'll tell you the story of the gods. In the beginning, there was The One. The One existed outside of anything our minds could comprehend, with motivations known to none. Eventually, The One created the fabrics of time and space, and split into three; Ko, Ri, and Ya. Ko wove the heavens and earth, Ri filled the seas, skies, and lands, and Ya breathed life into all the dragons. Ko, Ri, and Ya all conceived helpers to carry out their creations, spreading them to this world and all others. These helpers became the Old Gods, worshiped by the dragons they brought water, air, plants, and life to. In time, Ko, Ri, and Ya disappeared somewhere the rest of us could not follow, and dragonkind grew and spread. The clans we know today came to be formed, and vibrant cultures bloomed. Taji, the first mortal dragon to ascend to godhood, came to the heavens and began a new age. Now, mortal dragons who accomplished great deeds could ascend, and the number of gods grew. Some of the Old Gods vanished as well, and some acclimated to the change. The Highest Council of the Gods was formed to keep order, and Taji was nominated to lead, becoming the Emperor God. The gods watch over us all, and grow stronger with our prayers and praise. You will never be alone so long as you know the story of our gods." |

At one time, Pumpkaboo was a helper of Ri, called Risette by her creator and tasked with spreading seeds of all kinds across the land to allow plants to grow and flourish. Risette enjoyed the work immensely, caring for the lush plantlife that soon spread across the world. It brought her great joy to see the mortal dragons live alongside and use her flora to better their lives, but when she found mortals who purposelessly destroyed and harmed innocent plants, she would be overcome with a great rage. After Odessa's ascension and the turning of the age, Risette took to visiting the mortal world she'd once helped grow more often, eventually leaving the heavens entirely and embracing the name Pumpkaboo. |
