Anubis is the egyptian god of mummification and the first (but illegitimate) born son of Osiris. As a only son of Osiris Anubis is supposed to get his throne in case of his dead, so he was treated like a legitimate prince. But Isis was jealous at him, jealous at his mother Nephthys, and did everything to show Anubis that he is not wanted in the palace. Anubis didn't care that much but he felt the wish to leave the palace to experience his own adventures. At this time he fell deep in love with a human women, Anput, a priestess of Seth. Anput gave birth to a demi-goddess, Kebehut, a pretty and strong girl.

After his uncle Seth murdered Osiris, Isis tricked Anubis to help her revitalize her husband and conceived Horus. Short time after Osiris died and Isis, overcomed by grief and anger, ordered to kill Anput and send Kebehut into exile, the world of the dead. After losing his wife, his daughter and his claim to the throne Anubis decided to do what Isis and Osiris want, always looking for a way to kill them and free his daughter.
He hates his half-brother, Horus, for stealing his life and for being so blind while sitting at the throne. Even though Horus wanted to get to know his brother, Anubis did everything to hide himself before the eyes of his half-brother and betray him as well as his parents.
