Ptah is a the human mate of Sachmet. His father was a writer of Atum, his mother made and sold shoes. He met Sachmet when she played in the town and quickly became friends with her. Since both were energetic children who liked to challenge each other, they were known for running around a lot.

Ptah kept his high spritis and playful character even when he grew older, being able to divert Sachmet's attention to him whenever she needed distraction. Sachmet was fascinated with his active character and bright mind, while Ptah was glad to have a female friend who was not only able to keep up with him, but also as daring as him. They soon fell in love.

As a couple they were tagging along whenever Bastet threw a party or the residents celebrate.

With Sachmet Ptah had a son, Nefertem. He cared a lot for him, teaching him how to write, read and how to behave properly. He was often seen playing with Nefertem and other children in the streets and telling stories to them.
Unfortunately, Ptah died when Nefertem was still young.
