Isis is the Egyptian goddess of birth, rebirth and magic. She is a deep loving mother, always trying to protect her son, Horus, from evil. Isis is married to her brother Osiris, whom she loves as well, though she is always trying to manipulate him. Her husband is the king of the dead, her son the king of the living, but it sometimes seems that Isis is the true ruler of the humankind and Egyptian gods. Character: ☥ rigorous ☥ ☥ maternal ☥ ☥ scheming ☥ ☥ overprotective ☥ Isis loved Osiris but nevertheless she always kept him on the short leash. Her twin sister Nephthys took her chance and slept with Osiris, conceiving a son, Anubis. Isis was jealous at her sister and her nephew, so she did everything to show Anubis, that he is not wanted - neither from her nor from his father. When Seth killed his brother Osiris and cutted him into peaces to scatter them across Egypt, Isis reached out to Anubis for help to collect all parts of her husband. The nile was flooted with her tears and she swore Seth bitter vengeance but together with her nephew she was able to collect and revitalize Osiris - at least long enough to conceive a son from him: Horus. Sad and embittered by the death of her beloved husband, Isis became an overprotective mother and enemy of Seth who tried to kill and taint Horus multiple times. To protect Horus from all evil, Isis started blackmailing the Egyptian gods and keep Horus under her control. He doesn't know anything about the intrigues of his mother since Isis is a loving mother to him. Isis did not even flinch from stealing Horus' seeds to conceive another son, Amset, to drill him to be a personal bodyguard for his father, who's not even having knowledge of his own son... |
