Biography

Backstory: Long ago, the eleven gods joined together to defeat the Yinyang, a powerful emperor dragon. Although, the gods did not fight alone. Thousands upon thousands of exalted dragons marched into battle with the gods. Zula’s great-great-great-great grandfather, Lucius had fought against the Yinyang under the Earthshaker’s command. During the final battle against the Yinyang, all of the gods had surrounded the emperor dragon and attacked it at the same time. The exalted dragons had also sent their own long-distance attacks at the Yinyang. However, the Yinyang had flown upwards just in the nick of time to avoid the wave of elemental powers coming its way. With the Yinyang out of the way, all of the elemental attacks to collided with one another and created a massive explosion. The gods and the Yinyang managed to shield themselves from the explosion, but the exalted dragons were not so fortunate. The blast had killed off all of the exalted dragons, but one. Zula’s great-great-great-great grandfather, Lucius had been the soul survivor of the explosion. Before the final battle, Lucius had been a wildclaw with the typical unattractive fodder coloring, but the explosion had given all of his scales and feathers a bright neon green color. Although, Lucius did not sit around and waste time examining his new coloring. The villainous Yinyang was still out there and Lucius knew the gods (who were still stunned from the explosion) needed his help to defeat it. Lucius flew towards the Yinyang. Now, Lucius had many bleeding wounds (wounds that had begun oozing glowing, neon-green blood after the explosion) at the time, but the wildclaw still attacked the emperor dragon. As Lucius fought the Yinyang, his blood splattered against the emperor dragon’s wings. Lucius’s blood ate away the emperor dragon’s feathers like an acid. The Yinyang bellowed in pain as Lucius’s blood created gaping holes in its wings. The emperor dragon managed to knock Lucius on the ground with one powerful wipe of its claws before its wings were damaged further. Fortunately, the gods had recovered from their shell-shocked state and began fighting with the emperor dragon before the beast could flee. The Yinyang could no longer fly faster than the gods thanks to the holes Lucius had left in the emperor dragon’s wings so the gods defeated the two-headed dragon with ease. In the aftermath of the final battle, Lucius and the many exalted dragons that were killed during the explosion were hailed as a heroes. After a few more years in the service of the Earthshaker, Lucius decided to settle down and raise a family with his mate, Narcissa. The vast majority of Lucius’s own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren inherited his neon green coloring and acidic blood. As eras passed, Lucius’s descendants became know throughout Sornieth as radioactive dragons. These radioactive dragons thrived in numerous clans in the Cairnstone Rest. Or at least the radioactive dragons were thriving until Zula’s grandmother, Lillian, decided she wanted to uncover the secrets of the radioactive dragons mother. For years, Lillian and her mate, Meilidas, ran many experiments on their own blood in the ZephyrLion Clan. Lillian hoped that she could find a way to use her own blood to cure dragons with cancer (one of the Plaguebringer’s latest creations). However, her mate had other plans. A dragon by the name of Ebonsoul was going to pay Meilidas a fabulously large amount of treasure if he could develop a weapon that could break through the Wirestratus Clan’s barrier. Behind Lillian‘s back, Meilidas created highly toxic bombs with his and his mate’s blood. He eventually delivered his bombs to Ebonsoul. With the toxic bombs, Ebonsoul managed to weaken the Wirestratus Clan’s barrier enough so he and his monsters could slip into the Wirestratus Clan’s den’s lair. What happened to the Wirestratus Clan after Ebonsoul’s attack is another story for another clan. However, after Ebonsoul had successfully broken into the Wirestratus Clan, Meilidas had plenty of buyers that were eager to get their claws on his weapons. Unbeknownst to Meilidas, there were also many spies in his mist that were very eager to learn how Meilidas’s bombs were made so they could replicate their own. With spies constantly hovering over Meilidas’s shoulder, word got out that a radioactive dragon’s blood was to key to making a highly toxic bomb very quickly. Many dragons and beastclans alike began hunting for radioactive dragons. Some radioactive dragons were murdered in cold blood. However, the majority of radioactive were not as fortunate. Many of the radioactive dragons that were caught were bred like cattle until the day they died. Atomic and nuclear bombs were made with the blood of radioactive dragons. These deadly weapons were used by many evil and barbaric clans and as a result many innocents were either killed or had to live with radiation poisoning. The members of the ZephyrLion Clan put Lillian and Meilidas to death for creating such destructive weapons. Lillian had argued that she was innocent and had no part in the creation of Meilidas’s bombs until she took her final breaths. Although, her fellow clan members and the majority of her children did not believe her. Her son, Zaire, was the only dragon the Zephyrlion Clan who believed his mother was innocent and he was banished from the clan for publicly expressing that belief. Zaire and his mate, Yinseya, hid themselves in the shadows of the VeroKitty Clan. A few years later, Zula was born. Throughout all of Zula’s childhood, she was told to hid. Radioactive dragons were still actively being hunted and forced to breed with one another. The only problem was Zula didn’t want hide anything that made her a radioactive dragon. She loved her bright neon glowing scales and strange acidic blood. Zula’s mother, Yinseya, always made her daughter wear clothing that covered her radioactive primary color whenever she went to play with the other hatchlings. Zula always hind her clothing in the brushes when she went to play with her friends and put them back on before returning home. Since Zula was a hatchling she didn’t fully understand what was happening to other radioactive dragons beyond the VeroKitty Clan territory and the many other dragons that suffered from radiation poisoning. When Zula reached adolescence and began to learn more about the world, the fae dragon decided that she wanted to go out into the world and fix the problems her grandfather Meilidas had created. Zecro, a mirror dragon Zula had grown up, encouraged Zula to join the Aquafire Clan because the clan has actively freeing and sheltering radioactive dragons all over Sornieth. Zecro believed that Zowzu and Maruna could help Zula develop a cure. Despite the discouragement of her parents, Zula joined the Aquafire Clan. In the Aquafire Clan, the fae dragon spent most of the day learning how to fight on the battlefield with Umira and Sahara. During the night, Zula worked diligently with Maruna and Zowzu to create a cure for radiation poisoning. Sadly, Zula is still working to find a cure, but the fae dragon is still content with her new life in the Aquafire Clan.

Personality: Like typical fae dragons, Zula is always expressionless and speaks in a monotone voice. Because of this, most of the dragons the Aquafire Clan assume Zula is cool and collected dragon. Although, the opposite is true. Zula is bipolar so her emotions are always shifting from over confident, to extremely anxious and sometimes to insanely happy. Zecro is probably the only dragon who can figure Zula out thanks to his detective skills. Zula’s greatest fear is being forgotten and failing to become a legend like her great-great-great-great grandfather, Lucius. This fear is what drove Zula to leave the safety of the VeroKitty Clan and develop a cure to radiation poisoning. Zula also has a strange love of the letter Z and it shows when you look at the fae dragon’s offspring list.

Clan Position: Biochemist/Warrior

Soul Mate: Zecro

Familiar: Back when Zula was a hatchling, she convinced Zecro (who was also a hatchling at the time) to sneak out with her to the Trading Post. Under the starlight, both hatchlings wandered from venue to venue, seeing and smelling items they had never see before. When Zula passed by Baldwin’s Bubbling Brew, the fae dragon had saw that Baldwin was selling a Rosetail Recipe. Zula had really wanted to make a Rosetail, but she did possess enough treasure to get a recipe. Zecro never forgot that. Many years later, Zecro bought a Rosetail Recipe and gave it to Zula on their one year anniversary of being mated. Zula was overjoyed when she got Zecro’s gift and quickly got to work on making a rosetail. Zula named her rosetail Zika and treasured the small creature as if it was one of her own hatchlings. Since the day Zika was created, the rosetail has been convinced Zula’s is her actual mother. The rosetail follows the fae dragon everywhere and sleeps on top of Zula’s head.

Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa
I'm waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
I'm breathing in the chemicals
I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
I raise my flags, don my clothes
It's a revolution, I suppose
We'll paint it red to fit right in
Whoa
I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
All systems go, the sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
