Biography

Backstory: Leon was raised in the Snowsquall Tundra. Leon had a twin brother by the name of Lean and a little sister named Sheena. In their younger years, the three dragons were inseparable. They played together and fought together. Lean was fiercely protective of Sheena and the ways of his clan. Leon, however, was a dreamer. He fantasized about sailing the sea and exploring the worlds beyond Snowsquall Tundra. This all came to change when the Southern Icefield was hit with one of the harshest winters in centuries. Food was scarce so Lean and some of his toughest flyers ventured into the snow. Meanwhile, Leon stayed behind with Sheena and the other young hatchlings in the clan. A barbaric clan of tundra dragons was aware of that Lean was gone so they launched an attack on Leon’s den. Leon did everything in his power to defend the hatchlings, but in the end, Leon was not as strong as Lean. The rival clan killed the all of the hatchlings, including Sheena. The barbaric clan had also managed murder to Leon’s father, Sharok (who was the leader of his clan). When Lean returned he was blinded by rage. He slashed Leon’s right eye. Lean’s first order as clan leader was to banish Leon. Leon didn’t fight his brother because he truly felt he was responsible for his sister’s and his father’s deaths was his fault and the fact that he was alive showed that he hadn’t given enough to protect his clan members. Leon ventured to edge of the Southern Icefield. A chunk of ice broke off beneath Leon’s feet and Leon wound up on an iceberg drifting off into the ocean. Leon almost died at sea due to dehydration and starvation. Fortunately, Nira and Olivia were lead to Leon by one of Nira’s visions. Once they found Leon they brought him to the Sea of a Thousand Currents and revived him. Although, it was Nira who finally lifted Leon’s spirits. She encouraged him to start over and instead of forgetting the past, she told him to hold it near and make sure it will never happen again. In time Leon fell in love Nira and the two mated. Leon vowed to start a new clan with Nira and use everything he had to defend it.

Personality: Unlike most of his kind, Leon posses a great memory. Leon is often lost in though and quiet by nature. He is a large dragon, but a big softie at heart.

Familiar: Leon has known his searing jackalope familiar since he was a hatchling. It is unknown how exactly this creature managed to travel from the Ashfall Wastes to the Snowsquall Tundra, but whatever the reason Leon still found the searing jackalope half dead beneath the snow. Leon snuck the jackalope into his den without his parents knowing. Fortunately, Leon’s parents weren’t bothered by the jackalope’s presence since the animal could warm any den with his magic. Leon named his familiar Jax. Jax is very loyal to Leon and followed Leon all the way to the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Most of the time, Jax sleeps in Leon’s fur, but if the tundra dragon is ever in danger, Jax will be out and ready to pounce.
