Chervil

Chervil is about as 'hatchling' as a hatchling could get. He squeaks and chirps adorably, much to the cooing of any grown-ups visiting the nesting grounds. Chervil tackles and gnaws on his dolls, bounces around and pounces on his brother and sisters, or the other hatchlings whenever they go to visit the others nests. When he's not occupying himself that way, he's looking at the cracks in the stone walls, wagging his tail and trying to pounce the tiny animals he swears are there.
Seryoga, before she left, gave him a hard time. "Chervil get off that, Chervil don't do this, don't do that." But he's not a hatchling anymore; he's grown up. He helps his sister Lisse with her cooking, goes out to bring back salt and other spices for her, and tells riotous jokes when the clan gather for mealtime.

Before she left, he felt maybe she was the one who needed to grow up. Now he just feels awful for thinking such things about her.
Chervil doesn't help Lisse cook as much as he used to. There's plenty of other things to do to help the clan grow and flourish.

Officially, Chervil goes out and trades with dragons of other clans. Just like Rydian and Esten do. But that's just what the clan thinks. When he goes out, he finds people and steals from them. Treasure, gems, food, goods. It was hard to convince himself to do this at first, harder to successfully carry it out, but he's gotten into it. His family deserves those riches more than anybody else. Just as long as they never learn.
