Brunelle

Brunelle doesn't really get along with her siblings. And that's not her fault! They're warmongers! They think that the Dominance War is something glorious to fight in.

Not her. She remembers the first time Aunt Lyra brought them out to practice their hunting. They way the mouse's breathing slowed and its movements stopped. She had nightmares for weeks, which placed her into the place of the mouse. It terrified her, young as she was. How could anything be as horrible as death? Brunelle spends her time huddled in her corner of the clan lair, claws dipped in special pigments she'd requested Rydian and Esten to trade for. She practices on a mannequin, painting the scale-clinging colors of accents and skins. Already, some of the designs she's made have sold fairly well.

Brunelle tries to keep herself focused on her work. It distracts her from the disconcerting knowledge that both Reann and Lakila are such brutes.
