Personality: S'siri is friendly, protective, and maternal. Strongly duty-bound, she will devote herself utterly to a cause once she has taken it up. Though often serious, pragmatic, and cautious, she is not without a sardonic sense of humor. She also tends towards verbose philosophical musings when she can find someone to listen to her. History: Ask S'siri to tell you about her life, and you won't get answers. Not because she doesn't want to talk about it, but because she doesn't remember. No, if you want to know S'siri's life story, you'll have to ask another dragon entirely; Holly. Because Holly is S'siri's life memories, at least all of the ones that took place after the skydancer decided to leave her birth home in the Windswept Plateau and explore Sornieth. S'siri didn't mean for that to happen- for her memories to become a burden on someone else. But that's what happens when skydancers mess with magic that rightly belongs only to pearlcatchers; there are unexpected side-effects. All S'siri remembers for certain is that she was with a group who were as dear to her as family. A group she loved and cherished very much. A group she abandoned forever in order to protect them from... something. Holly could elaborate, but S'siri doesn't want to remember the details. She knows she forgot for good reason. But even if she doesn't consciously remember her vagabond life, S'siri can't help but feel a deep, piercing sense of loss and grief. The notion that something is missing, even if she can't quite put a talon on what. Whoever she was before, it is clear that she had some sort of position of authority. She regularly demonstrates a comfort and familiarity with the nitty gritty details of managing large groups of dragons, keeping tabs on projects, and and staying on top of multiple overlapping systems at once. So, when Anders was appointed leader, he instinctively turned to S'siri to ask her to be his second, a request she accepted. |
