Layali was created from a single, perfect, breath of wind on a cool fall day when the bamboo sang in the breeze, the leaves rustling and the sky clear of any clouds. It was a perfect day and she awoke for the first time and knew everything was not well for herself. She gathered her brother and left the bamboo stand where she was created and fled across the world to found Cypress Hall where she resides as Progenitor and leader.

She eventually stopped her flight in a brackish swamp and was found by the elderly warrior Johanna who was coming from her own conflict and needed to start a new life away from it. Layali was grateful for a mother figure in her life and Johanna took care of her, especially as her condition slowly deteriorated over the years.

Plagued constantly in her young years by terrible visions and seizures they brought Layali never thought she’d never know peace. Then one vision the Windsinger came to her. He didn’t speak to her but gave her a purpose and hope for a cure for her terrible visions. This caused her to leave Cypress Hall and venture back to the Plateau to find whatever it was the Windsinger said would ‘cure’ her.

She found it in the form of another dragon born of the very Wind. Najaïr had also been looking for her. Upon seeing Najaïr she knew instantly that he was what she was missing. Both her Charge and a piece that she was missing upon creation. A fragment of the Pillar she was missing that had made her. She was very weak when she found him and after he nursed her back to health they returned to Cypress Hall.

Now cured of the seizures that plagued her for so many years Layali can finally enjoy her life and properly lead the dragons who have come to call Cypress Hall home. Najaïr stays by her side always and she loves him deeply, grateful he is present and knowing he makes her strong enough to keep going.

Your progen has so much going on here and it's all good. She's one part jungle cat and one part djinn and it's an aesthetic I can 100% get behind. I especially love the layering of her accent and the roundhorn and plumage on her head, it's a great silhouette.
