Researchers' Notes:
Subject: #3276
Alias: Lucent
Status of Runes: Uninvoked Invoked
Observations & Notes: Subject #3276 was a surprise. The fact that she immediately displayed abilities was not the surprising part — rather, that her abilities cause her to become partially or entirely translucent. We found it initially disconcerting to study an unusually elusive subject, but her periods of opaqueness have allowed us to gather more information.

In addition to her aforementioned primary power — which is not, as we first thought, invisibility but rather as if she turns herself into some sort of glass prism — she has shown signs of being able to change the state of other objects in the same way. Like her, they're never truly invisible, and reflect and refract light. However, in low or dark lighting they — and she — can be harder to spot, and she seems to take a certain childlike glee in getting researchers to accidentally step on or trip over her and her trinkets.

So far we have not had any trouble with her antics, though due to her youth she lacks any kind of significant control. She's been able to change the opacity of any object larger than a teacup, but we advise future observation and supervision, especially if her powers show signs of strengthening.

Update A:
Subject #3276 went missing some days ago. The exact time of her disappearance is unknown, for it has become normal for her to disapear for some time. A search has been started, but staff are not optimistic on the chances of finding her.
It is now know that she has, according to a magical surge in the Scarred Wasteland, invoked her runes. Although her absence makes examining her impossible.

Her Disappearance:
She had been fed up with the researchers and their questions. It had been fun to trick them, and to move things around, but it had grown tiresome. So, she left. It wasn't that hard to slip away, being practically invisible.

Invoking Her Runes:
Merisym was in the Wandering Contagion, near the border with the Starfall Isles, when she encountered a feral Mirror. The Mirror was able to see Merisym from the heat she gave off. Merisym attempted to flee, but she had no chance to outpace a full grown Mirror. In a panic, Merisym invoked her runes. The young Runecatcher curled into a ball, but instead of the pain of being torn to pieces, she only felt a slight pressure. The Mirror backed off, thoroughly confused. Merisym's ability to turn into a crystal had strengthened with the invocation. Now she was as tough as the strongest of gemstones. But she couldn't keep it up forever. Soon the hatchling's concentration broke, and she returned to a normal opaque state. She was sure that her death was near, when another Mirror, this one dressed in armor and clearly not feral, tackled the aggressor.

A New Home:
Merisym nervously approached her savior. The feral dragon had been driven off, and the armored Mirror was looking at her curiously.
"What is a Light hatchling doing way out here?" He asked her.
"I'm traveling," Merisym murmured.
The Mirror paused, "Do you have a home?"
"No," she bowed her head.
"Now you do!" He announced.
Merisym could not get in another word before Shade scooped her up in his arms and took her back to his clan.

Update B:
Subject #3276 has been relocated in a mid-sized Arcane clan, Hodge-Podge. She has since paired with Tenebrum (Subject #4280). They have had multiple clutches of hatchlings, all of them Runecatchers.
Subject #3276's abilities have greatly strengthened with the invoking of her Runes. When in her crystal state she is nigh indestructible. Though she is too heavy to fly in this state.
Recently Subject #3276 has had trouble returning to her normal state for more than a few minutes. This has led to her wrapping cloths and silks over herself so that she can interact with others.
