Biography
Pasgen
Pasgen is a daughter of Screechfang and Skytail who as devoted her entire life to battle, and knows nothing else. Pasgen isn’t bloodthirsty, persay, but she doesn’t know how to solve her problems except through battle. She has lived her life on the battlefield, and has shut down any part of herself that knows differently. She craves violence, and is quick to draw her sword.
Pasgen is almost split between two “selves”: the self on the battlefield, an excitable and enthusiastic warrior slashing and going all out, and the self outside of the battlefield, who isn’t sure how to process things and comes off as bleak and dreary to other dragons. These two “selves” are one and the same Pasgen, of course, but any dragon who encountered her without this context would assume they were two different identical dragons. The split isn’t caused by anything in her psyche, but rather her inability to process things outside of the context of battle.
Luckily, Pasgen has her twin sister, Astureon, to keep her in check. Growing up, Astureon was always the one who knew how to take a break from battle situations, and is much more well-adjusted as a result. Astureon is the dragon Pasgen relies on to help her calm down, to sheathe her sword, to remind her to breathe, to ground her, to guide her through social contexts. The two are inseparable sisters, and are almost never seen apart.
Pasgen doesn’t know how to talk to dragons besides Astureon, and comes across as very awkward. Her battle-based metaphors and war stories are jarring to dragons who haven’t seen the battlefield, and she doesn’t have any interests outside of fighting to talk about. In addition, she has a very “doom-and-gloom” sort of image which unnerves other dragons, and as a result, they mostly avoid her. If not for Astureon, and those of her siblings who try to connect with her, Pasgen would be all alone.
