An old legend tells the story of a black hole and a shining comet who fell deeply in love. Whenever the black hole was away from the comet his heart ached, whenever the comet caught a glance of the black hole her trail would shine brighter. They cherished their brief shared moments more than anything.
But every time they reached out for each other, the comet was swallowed by the black hole’s power and disappeared to some faraway place.
Nevertheless she would travel space - sometimes for years - to reunite with her beloved again, only for the few moments she had before she was swallowed once more. Then she would do it again. And again.

A kind goddess had witnessed the starcrossed-lovers’ futile attempts to be together and, moved by their unwavering love, took pity on them.
With a whisper and breath she transformed the black hole and the comet into dragon eggs to be hatched in the Southern Icefield and finally be able to reunite once and for all.
But the transmutation had erased the dragons’ memory and, having forgotten their common past, they grew up not searching for eachother.

And so they lived their lives as dragons, unaware of each other’s existence, but with an unshakable feeling that something was missing.

Elipse had always been a peculiar dragon but he realized just how different he was when he reached maturity and noticed the effect his emotions had on his surroundings.
At first, objects in close proximity would only shake lightly whenever he would get mad. Eventually they began to lift off the ground and orbit him furiously without his control, and he realized that he was becoming a threat to his family.


He had reached maturity anyway, and so he decided to go on a journey to learn to control the peculiar powers that had been bestowed upon him. Perhaps he would find an explanation for the nagging, empty feeling that had plagued his heart for as long as he could remember, too.

It was in Dragonhome that he had an encounter with the mysterious Spiral Zeehra who would change his life forever. The mirage dragon told Elipse the legend of a black hole and comet who had been in love, and that the deities had given her the mission to reunite the star-crossed lovers. Elipse thought the stranger crazy when she specified that he was one half of the unfortunate couple, but a small part of him wanted to believe that this was the explanation for everything weird and inexplicable in his life. And so he followed Zeehra all the way through the Sunbeam Ruins back to her lair, where his gaze fell upon an unknown and yet familiar soul.

One look was enough for all the puzzle pieces to finally fall into place, for all his questions to be answered and the pain in his heart to be swept away. One look was enough for all his memories to come crashing down on him and, from the look in the other dragon’s eyes, she felt the same.
Finally, after all this time, the star-crossed couple could finally be together. After all this time their love had finally prevailed.

Having finally reunited, the black hole and the comet decided to stay with the dragons who had brought a happy end to their story, and to assist them wherever they could as a sign of their deep gratitude.
They would be a valuable addition to the lair but, most importantly, they would be together.
